Bruhhh I can’t imagine what it must have been like to make the cuts for his albums. It must have been so difficult to have to cut masterpieces like this out. Especially knowing they’re never going to be released. All Michael’s songs were pure genius, and I’m seriously not being biased. I honestly think he’s the greatest composer/musician/artist ever. Greg Phillinganes. Such a great yet underrated performer. Had the pleasure of seeing him in Detroit with Stevie Wonder. I remember thinking: “this guy helped MJ make history, but almost no one knows”. Which is what makes the post-WW2 era so fascinating! So much talent everywhere, in so many forms! And here we are 35 years later surviving in a musical desert. The modernization and greediness of America’s music industry dismissed the importance of individual talents coming together to form a masterpiece. Music has become (for the most part) uniform and shallow. Je suis né en France and used to look up to MJ and the US as the Holy Grail. All I can do now is look back and lament on what the world has become. Politicians and dictators spreading hatred with little resistance from mainstream entertainers. Long gone are the days of the reign of Michael Jackson.

Here's something to consider. When we discover an outstanding unreleased MJ song, many fans start talking about how it should've replaced another song that made the final cut. That's not necessary. Apparently, the songs he chose were enough to excite audiences around the world. So does anyone know if MJ had a specific tracklisting in mind for the initially planned double or triple LP versions of Bad? Judging by the quality of both the album and its outtakes, it would've been even better as a double.

Idk about Bad, but I know that Dangerous was originally supposed to be a double LP, as it was supposed to be a 10-year anniversary of sorts for his Thriller album. He wanted to go big, so he used a lot of these Bad era demos and reworked them, but the anniversary double LP album idea was ditched, and he made Dangerous instead.

I know Michael always wanted perfection and the best for his fans....but Michael, my man....this shit is FIRE. How is this "unreleased". This song slaps. Edit: After reading some comments and searching on google he actually wanted this song in the bad album. He wanted the album to be a 3 disc set so all his unreleased songs that he recorded in the bad era would be released but his producer said it was too much.
