That's one of my favorite scenes in the movie! When the Chinese guy is singing it so bad (no disrespect to China, I know they have some amazing singers!) and Carter is like "What in the world is goin' on up in HERE?!". Suddenly "I can't take no more of this" and then appears on stage: "closer, oh get closer, I'm burning nowwww" while Lee is out the back in the middle of an intense Triad hunt, that shit is just hilarious.

After A Long Night Of Hooking Greg Was hired as a session musician and was paid as such. Ridiculous if he wanted to keep getting paid more than he should have. If it truly bothered him he would have sued MJ and he didn’t . He continued to work with MJ and was part of his band members on two of his world tours in the late 80 and early 90’s. Which was way after The Off The Wall album. So Quincy had no business talking for Greg the way he did. When Greg really had no issue here. It’s no secret that MJ and Q had a falling out after the Bad album. He just didn’t let MJ have more creative control over his music choices and so MJ moved on. Q problem is called- good old fashion bitterness! 😂

The BEST male falsetto's for me will always be Michael, Prince, Maxwell, & Eddie Kendricks of the Temptations. The adlibs are always my favorite things with this song, and if you noticed he has some deep/tenor adlibs popping up sometimes too. Let me tell you, what makes, Off The Wall SPECIAL & in my opinion better than Thriller, Michael's energy vocally was different for Off The Wall, Thriller came 3 years later, he was a different MJ when he was working on Off The Wall, he was excited to be working on this album, and this way, it was work like all his projects and albums were, but I feel like when Off The Wall wasn't the success he wanted it to be that made him work even harder and that took some of the fun out of the sound. I mean Off The Wall is his 5th solo album, but it's 1st REAL solo album where he was really in control & calling the shots, and he sounds thrilled about it in every aspect of the album. You gotta do Can't Help It (which was given to him by Stevie Wonder)

I'm not sure if anyone else in the chat mentioned this, but I remember reading from one of the album booklets that they used real soda bottles for the "tinks" that you here in the instrumentation which I thought was really cool

I love when you really get into the reactions and have as much fun as the video presents! You should listen to Mary J. Blige "Just Fine" and Janet Jackson "Make Me." Both were inspired by this song, but in their own, unique ways.

Jack, as you said at 1:23 , that is my song, it's what the 70's was all about! Great reaction as always! It shows how much you enjoyed it! Please, react to his "We've Had Enough". Totally different mood but you'll love the message of the song. Thanks in advance!

Both songs "Rock With You" and "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" are from "Off the Wall" LP. Michael along with other celebs often frequented Studio 54 in New York back in the late 1970s. Anybody who was anybody would line up to get into the trendiest disco ightclub in the country.
