Michael was insanely famous, it was crazy how famous he was especially in the 1980s. I remember the poor guy couldn't go anywhere without being mobbed by thousands. It was crazy the level of fame he achieved. No one comes close in this day and age to his level of fame. It's so hard to explain it you had to be around to really grasp the enormity of how big he was..

So a historical footnote. This song was part of the "Off the Wall" album in 1979, the first record collaboration between Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones. Legend has it this album was inspired by the 1978 motion picture "The Wiz" (an African American version of the Wizard of Oz), where MJ was the scarecrow and Jones created the musical scores

Damn girl, you are the epitome of beautiful and sexy. Young blood don't let that one go. Mind blowing, unbelievable. I saw Michael right before this he was with his brothers still and Dancing Machine was the hit of the tour, and I can remember him doing the robot like I never seen before. It was definitely the beginning of the Moon walk the way he slide all around the floor. Shout out to Mom Dukes for taking me I was about 7 or 8 maybe 9, but I can also remember Janet Jackson doing a skit. She was Mae West (lady from the 50's who was suppose to be sexy). Janet was young and she made it sexy, well at least for me, I told my mother, I'm gonna marry her. She still laughs about it. You definitely got some Janet Jackson in you girl.... Great Reaction
