Michael Jackson made a BIG jump from Motown to Quincy Jones for this one. The Off The Wall album was a gift to the whole world. "Get On The Floor" is my favorite from this album. I still have it on my playlist today.

@Trevon Womack, The Jackson 5 signed with Motown in 1969. Berry Gordy didn't move Motown to Los Angeles until 1972. They had released six albums before the move to L.A., "Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5", "ABC", "Maybe Tomorrow", "Jackson 5 Christmas Album", "Third Album" and "Goin' Back To Indiana". In two years. Instead of Motown Records, it should've been Jackson 5 Records!

Another great reaction. Love your reactions. This is a song/video where you have to smile and get up and dance. MJ looked so happy, same with 'Rock with You'. When MJ Co produced this they were all worried about the strange percussion of sticks on bottles. Jackie and Randy were the ones behind that. Great song when MJ was already a superstar that was on the brink of mega stardom. :)

This Music Video/Short Film is actually pretty iconic also this was the first time during a Short Film folks saw duplicates like 3 MJ’s in a Music Video this is far from a typical 70’s video cause 70’s Music Videos use to be just singers on stage performing but MJ Revolutionized Music Videos starting with “Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough” so Yeah this is a historical piece in history pure classic😇🙌🏽👑🔥🌟💯(Also MJ vocals are unmatched Falsetto on the whole entire record yo me this is the Greatest Vocal Performance Of All Time On Any Record)

Love this song and MJ’s “Off The Wall” album, which is so good, but got overshadowed by “Thriller”. Brings back memories of junior high school and the first school dances I attended. That actually isn’t true at all Off The Wall Got it’s proper shine and moment in time it came out in 1979 Thriller came out in 1982 that’s 3 years removed from Off The Wall To Thriller so it got its shine never got “Out Shined” at all MJ’s Thriller Just simply became a bigger album and became ironically The Best Selling Album Of All Time!👑✨💯(Also they’re both masterpieces both classic albums)

I think the point being made is that when Thriller came out, people, especially new folk to MJ, completely forgot or didn't even know about OTW. Thriller outshone absolutely anything and everything obliterating anything that had come before in its path, including being the biggest selling album in the World at the time! (I'm not sure if it still holds the record so let me know). If I'm to go deeper into my analytical spreadsheet, it has revealed that the majority of people request songs from Thriller and what came after. Yes people are reacting too OTW but only because Thriller and beyond has been exhausted. But we are all on the same ship and coming from the same place in that MJ was like no other. Hope you enjoyed it bring played. I'm going to be bringing more MJ soon like Enjoy Yourself with the J5 etc. So that should be fun. @@psycheinc-theSLC it definitely still holds the record and forever will MJ’s Thriller is just not the best selling album in the US anymore but worldwide it still holds the record it possibly will eventually regain it’s number 1 spot in the US again also I disagree most folks did know about Off The Wall looking at it in retrospective is one thing living it is another my mother lived it and trust me nobody forgot about Thriller just became a Monster and quickly and rightfully so...

Funny story about this song. Quincy and Michael had an argument over the string arrangement. Michael asked Quincy to remove the strings being played at the beginning of the song and Quincy's response to him was, "No Way!" Well, I think Quincy's decision help sell about another 350,000 copies HA!

With regards the video, even though it is George, Elton's appearance is still part of copyright. For instance, I have shown three songs of Madonnas from the same concert - they got through - I then did another 2 songs from the same concert and they were slapped and BLOCKED - you just couldn't make it up Cristy. Plus it's an Elton John song and he appears, so it carries a lot of weight even more so because he's alive and still raking it in. People don't see the inside on what goes on and if they did, they wouldn't give it up in an instant. Constant battle. Anyhow, thank you for checking in despite you circumstances - very kind Cristy.
