From the Motown audition in 1968. Great performance of this James Brown funk classic.

Michael is only about 10 here and even at this tender age you could see how insanely gifted he was. His movement and rhythm is all instinctual. He just feels the beat. It's quite mesmerizing to watch a young dancing genius in the making.

Simply a genius. God given talent like Mozart, there is no question about it. In fact, if you read bios of both, u will see how similar Michael life was to Mozart's life - both were insanely gifted and had brutal father who saw ''golden child'' & pushed for success, but the same time caused great pain and tragedy in the end. As they say, the greatest talent somehow must be balanced with great flaws, demons & drama.

@kristuti14 жыл бұрын
@@MrTmont22 but at first you have to be naturally gifted. You can work to some extent and become really successful, but Michael's success blew up beyond imagination to an iconic and legendary level. He could sing adult songs at a very young age as he lived through all these experiences himself (you can't teach that). He felt rythm and was a natural mover ( without any choreography) he said in his book Moonwalk that while they were filming The Wiz cast members had to learn choreography and he was able to dance after seeing steps for one time it was hard for others to keep up and they were annoyed of him. He had other attributes beside singing and dancing one of them is that he was an observer and great student he used to watch other performers backstage while his brothers were in the dressing room but he saw what they do, how the public reacted and he noticed that one of the singers brought hat and public already went wild because everybody knew what was going to happen next (we know he used that later) creating anticipation. While I was reading his book I just felt that he was like a sponge he noticed everything all the details. It's hard to say what would have happened if Joe hadn't pushed him and instilled an insane work ethic but that he was natural was obvious. Also, talent is not enough you need to choose the right people, know how to interact with employees, have a vision and take risky decisions, learn from mistakes, find a way to appeal on a global scale. Let's not forget he was also a businessman and his name was his brand. He managed to influence even with his fashion he created attributes that instantly connect them with him and were worldwide recognizable. He had a very strong stage presence and was really charismatic. There are so many things. I always wonder up to what point you can train yourself where is the bar. I also believe that if your parents discover your talents or you do it on your own and work on it you can achieve a lot but you have to shape your attitude as well it's a work in all areas. Talent doesn't work unless you do. There is a problem when you don't have clearly expressed talents hard to find.
