There's probably nobody today that's even half as big as Michael was in his prime. He might be the only true global superstar in the sense that he was well known in so many places and it didn't even matter if people could understand English as they would still enjoy his music. His music had no demographic and it was known that people of any age would be attending his concerts.

I’ve seen Michael twice. I’ve seen how easy emotions can soar in the crowd with people passing out and crying. You look at him, standing right in front of you and it’s almost unbelievable that it’s really him. It really did feel like magic. I’ve luckily seen most of the biggest artists in the world over the years, including Prince and Madonna, yet none generate that other level of hysteria and mystery than MJ.
