For some reason it’s been deleted from the remaster. The scene is still there on the DVD, VHS & Laserdisc releases. But for the Blu-ray and HD prints it’s been removed.

I waited for this with a lot of enthusiasm as a kid and was greatly disappointed. The montage at the beginning, the weird claymation that followed and then the lack of context with what was going on with him and the 3 kids was frustrating to watch. Wasn't entertained at all. And this scene alone was super creepy, and I loved 80's bot cartoons.
