Michael's sister Janet said Michael invited her into the studio where he was about to sing "P.Y.T." and asked Janet to help out on background vocals. Janet said "Since we had been singing together forever, I knew it'd be easy. Janet jump at the chance.

I was a teenager when this song came out. So, it’s been nice to hear these songs from a fresh perspective and new ears. You have actually introduced me to aspects of these songs that I honestly had never heard before. So happy to take this journey with you!

I love how each time the chorus comes he sings a bit differently and does new little things with his voice so it's not really repetitive and keeps it fresh 😊 if that even makes sense lol

If you didn’t know Michael has been a performer along side his five other brothers star since he 5 or 6 but his sister Janet which is a pop star and his Latoya did the vocals at the end of the song. After checking out Michaels catalog you should dive into the Jackson 5 which is the group he was in when he was young

I recommend watching the complete Motown performance of Michael with his brothers, as well as his solo performance. Michael agreed to join his brothers on stage at Motown 25 under the condition that he would have a solo spot afterward. It's worth noting that, during that time, Michael had limited opportunities to showcase his individual talent separate from his brothers. So this was the first time the world actually saw the adult Michael Jackson. During an era when television technology fell short of today's advancements, where performances can now be rewound and rewatched effortlessly on platforms like KZbin. Michael's electrifying Motown 25 performance set the world ablaze with an overwhelming surge of excitement. It quickly became the topic of conversation everywhere you turned, capturing hearts and captivating audiences worldwide. Nevertheless, Michael was already a legendary figure as part of the Jackson 5 and a successful solo artist. However, his performance at Motown 25 became a defining moment in his career, launching him into a new realm of fame. The impact was astonishing, with his record sales skyrocketing to an unprecedented rate of 2 million copies per week. This performance was truly groundbreaking, unveiling a level of stage presence and talent that had never been witnessed before. Although Motown 25 aimed to honor all the legendary artists of Motown that night, it was Michael Jackson who ultimately stole the show.

I've always loved the modulation in the pre-chorus where Michael sings, "Don't you know now is the perfect time." (2:33) And based on your repetition of it and comment, "I love that switch up," I'm guessing you do as well. The close up edits of your face singing, "P.Y.T." in the first chorus made me laugh so hard! (3:45) I friggin' love it! Easily one of the funniest and cutest bits you've ever done! And your dancing is perfection! This is a straight-up natural Seph-made antidepressant!

I looooove PYT and can't imagine how anyone could not. It is the definition of a banger! Ranking Thriller will be extremely tough. I also guarantee that overtime your feelings (even about the one song I don't think you were too crazy about) will change. I genuinely think Michael was a genius and I've learned over the course of my fandom that if I don't like a song on first listen, eventually it will click and I'll "get" it. I legit don't think he has a single skip in his entire discography. 😊

HAHAHA the opening! Yeah I always love it when I listen to it, since yeah in Michaels music he would rarely talk, but he does in his later albums after Thriller. Its so HARD to pick a top 10 of Michaels music let alone a top 30, because like you said P.Y.T, Billie Jean, The lady in my life etc.. thriller is such a wonderous album. That, Michael made music for each genre essentially which is why its so magnificent. He made Thriller for pop, Beat it for the rock heads, The lady in my life R&B along with Baby be mine followed by Billie jean for all audiences, the girl is mine for those who love paul mc cartney and slow/ not popish songs. Its just WOW. Cant wait till you get into BAD, Bad, Thriller, And Dangerous are definitely my top michael albums, but so is Off the wall, Invincible ugh its so hard to choose😂

You said you like his sexual songs (I do, too) and there are quite a lot, so I'm just gonna write the most sexual which is in a dirty way, though, not a sweet/moderate way like here. The song is called "Superfly Sister". It's like a hidden gem (since it's much lesser known than his biggest hits; actually, only real fans know about it due to it never being released as a single, it's only on an album). In my opinion, it's one of his best songs. I love everything about it, the beat, the (dirty) lyrics etc. 😉 It's a really hot song (one of the hottest, IMO, and definitely his dirtiest)! 😱🤯🔥🥵💯❤️ I was really surprised when I heard it for the first time, I couldn't believe MJ would say/sing something like that. 😱🤯 When it comes to lyrics, there's no other MJ song like this, it's really unique.

And also all of these tracks don’t sound dated at all if I played u blindly all the tracks off Thriller you wouldn’t think this album came out in 1982 lol🫡👑💯
