Michael had the coolest voice in music. You would recognize him immediately. PLus Quincy Jones arrangements here and on Thirller were just genius, exciting and so very entertaining. A match made in music heaven.

Yup to the first 2 sentences. Michael didn’t want any credits for “Somebody’s Watching Me,” but everybody knew it was him. His voice cannot be replicated.

Agree with other commentators stating "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough" is the best from Off the Wall. BTW the way, this album was my first cassette tape that I played on an old-school teacher/dictation style cassette player. I had an elongated wooden box my mom called a 'footlocker,' that was perfectly sized to haul the player & all my cassettes with me to school. I took requests at $0.25 each during recesses & lunch. Sadly, my 'small business' closed when I was 12 at the beginning of January 1986. Christmas of 1985 'Santa' brought me a decent record player (for the era) and several LPs from various artists, including Thriller, my favorite album of all time. The only album that comes close is Prince's 1999.

Off The Wall Was the first record album I ever bought, it was 1980 I was 13 years old and just picked it up at the mall and was walking back to my friend's house, I was so excited looking at the album cover that I wasn't paying attention and got hit head-on by a car while I was crossing the road, Suddenly everything went into super slow-motion as I tumbled over the hood of the car. I saw the album flying out of my hand like a frisbee, and I specifically remember my _only_ thought was *"I hope my album is okay'* - fortunately, it was! I was in a lotta pain, but no broken bones, and I was now officially Livin' Off The Wall
