I'm soooo happy ur daughter Aaliyah chose Billie Jean short film!!!! I saw the video first at a neighbors house back in 83, I was 5 years old. And the next day every where I went I pretended to light up every tile in the grocery store on the street I stepped on just like MJ & he became my first crush!!!! Once Motown 25 came out myself & all my friends and neighbors were doing the Moonwalk in East LA before it was called the backslide. Just such great memories!!!!

But we were born when we were supposed 2 be, we just gotta enjoy it as they say 2morrow is never promised.

Honestly, I wasn't crazy about this song until he performed it on Motown 25...LOL! I wanted him to perform something from Off The Wall that night. I was HOLDIN ON TO THAT ALBUM Boy! Also, You know my grand baby likes Don't Stop Till You Get Enough better : ) Seriously though... I agree with you on the iconic beginning of this song...a lot of his songs really. As much as I hate to admit it, when I hear the start of this song...I can still feel the excitement of the Motown 25 performance that that. I will just never ever forget it. Micheal really brought the magic...and that's real.

Michael didn’t come up with the light up sidewalk. That was someone on set and he loved it. Originally he was going to walk past some mannequins in a store window and they were going to come to life and Michael would dance with them but it would’ve cost too much money. If you look in one of the store windows when Michael walks past you can see the mannequins
