Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (Genesis) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A beginning to end playthrough of Sega's 1990 Genesis game, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker.
This is the version that uses Thriller in Stage 3, and I did my best to get all of the comets that allow you to become Mecha-MJ - did I miss any? Lemme know if I did!
My all time favourite Sega game, no matter which console! Hahaha, I know that Michael doesn't have the best reputation, but I loved this game when I was a kid. My mom and dad used to get pissed when I'd make the speaker on our old-ass "simulated wood grain cabinet" TV distort from playing the game version of Billy Jean WAAAAY too loudly. :D I hope you enjoy it as much as I have all of these years. I can't believe this game is 24 years old! It was an absolute marvel when it was new. Just think - they fit the whole thing into 512k of memory :O (it was a 4mbit cart, right?)

@@ThePathStrider Yeah, they removed Thriller in the next revision. Possibly because Michael Jackson wasn't the one who wrote Thriller. (Thriller was also present in the prototype version of the game, but not only as a Dance Attack such as here, it was a stage's whole theme).

Thriller is so much more suitable for a graveyard because you know...zombies were in the music video for the song and there are zombies in the graveyard level, Another Part of Me doesn't sound like it's right for a graveyard.

It's crazy isn't it? It's the same thing with Revenge of Shinobi, a couple major differences between versions, and the original ones are kinda pricey

@@alexojideagu Because on some of the original release carts, when Michael performs his dance attack on the graveyard stage, he performs it to "Thriller". On most other carts that are much more common, he performs it to "Another Part Of Me".

Well..... depends on what version. Revision 1 removed it entirely, rev0 had it as the dance attack, and a beta rom was recently dumped featuring it as the main song for the entire level.

Its kinda just a clone of Rolling Thunder. Not bad, but the presentation (esp. the FM synthesis is really, really well done here) carries it forward wayyy more than if it was just any other game. Worst things is that you don't have very many attacks, your hitbox is too big, and transforming is kinda just a gimmick because you can't do much except shoot and fly.

Never in a million years would I have thought to look behind the water fall for a a cave, it does not show and black hole or any indication of a cave behind it spent 43 minutes trying to find that last brat and had to search KZbin to find this video video to find it. The awful Michael Jackson Music got on my nerves, same awful simplistic melody over and over again. The song it's self was awful and this version is even worse, he had No talent and could Not Sing.
