In the second leg was some playback ( not for the entire song though- but for a little while, as a vocal break). We don't have all the concerts available. They say that there was some playback for Bad, TWYMMF for example but there are videos on yt, snippets and wasn't no playback in the respective dates. And bc it's too much noise around Michael, essential infos such as Bad tour was supposed to be his first solo tour and last are forgotten. He wanted to prove himself, that's why this tour is absolutely high energy rock not pop , electric storm Michael Jackson. Singing like this while making those moves...incredible expressive voice, incredible expressive body .

It probably isn’t playback because you can hear all plosives and sound of his voice doesn’t have that much of a clarity because at that time wireless microphones weren’t so advanced like they are now. I’m still amazed by how good his voice sounds despite trash microphone quality. So yeah you’re absolutely right.

Well the SC was a very tiring song to perform to fast tempo and the dancing would make MJ exhausted to even not even the sing the high notes???

I think he should not have sing SC live, this song is impossible to sing and sound good while are you trying to catch your breath. The adlibs section is where you can notice his fatigue, no wonder why in next tours is completely playback which was a good choice. I like the bad tour because you can hear him singing over the playback, but that's all MJ demands too much for himself.
