But he had been suffering with Diabetes and heart issues for some years. I am happy that his suffering has ended, but my heart aches every day. I try to keep in good spirits, but there are those days when the sadness and grief takes over. But God pulls me up and makes me strong....oh my Savior!!! I may weep in the darkness of night but joy comes in the morning. What hurts me the most is that I couldn't be there for his ending days because of the circumstances. My underlying conditions and his Covid would have been too risky for us. We have 5 daughters, ranging from 13 to 25. It's been hard for all of us, but we keep our faith in God, pray for strength, and look forward to brighter days. We are blessed, despite the challenges and unfortunate circumstances we have faced. We are a family of strong queens. And though we have lost our king, our Father, the King of all kings still reigns. I'm sorry for your loss as well. I share your pain with you. We were used to doing a lot of takes in order to get a vocal as nearly perfect as possible, but Quincy wasn’t satisfied with my work on that song, even after literally dozens of takes. Finally he took me aside late one session and told me he wanted me to beg. That’s what he said. He wanted me to go back to the studio and literally beg for it.
