Yes he was. And Richard Roundtree. Here is what Wikipedia says about him "Roundtree is noted as being "the first black action hero"[1] for his portrayal of private detective John Shaft in the 1971 film Shaft." Man first we get Jennifer Lawrence saying she is the first White Female action hero, and now this when there are dozens before both. Michael Jai White is awesome. No offense to him.

Meteor man and Blank man were created solely for their respective movies then Meteror man became a comic book character afterwards. Spawn was a main stream comic book character before both of these movies were first released. Blade would be the next comic book superhero played by a black actor who is Wesley Snipes.

Snipes and Blade rebooted the ENTIRE Marvel movie universe. He and his character don''t get enough credit for that. Anybody who mentions Meteor Man or Blankman in the same conversation know NOTHING about the Superhero genre.

I never judge a person's wealth because, Mr. White is worth more than that because he is pulling in more than that but, in the past actor was based on talent not money. Mammon took over and everything is based on money now. Marriage is money, love is money, health and well-being is money.
