Remember, these are highlights. Jordan was a guy who constantly saw double and triple teams combined with having to know how to get his shot off consistently vs. defenses designed to stop him from scoring or getting the ball ... so he had to be a complete basketball player concerning 'how' to get open or 'how' to read a situation -- this is why they had to have the triangle offense in Chicago because it automatically spaced the floor and made the offensive set (just like in football a play-call design) the point guard instead of having to rely on Paxson, Hodges, or Armstrong to get him the ball or for another teammate to create their own shot -- it was Tex Winters' offense that made Jordan settle down, move the ball more within the half court set while also he still would average 30 shooting 50% but prior to that his individual scoring averages were into 37 ppg with hand-checking and no flagrant fouls in the game during that 1987-1988 season, and he won defensive player of the year, so he had both sides of the game covered. Literally every night Michael Jordan was worth the price of admission, even when they lost he did well but was pissed and always made his team better and himself better every season.
@coachwiz435 сағат бұрын

@coachwiz43 well considering when he came back, he was out of shape, had tendinitis in both his knees (and was getting his knees drained of fluid almost every game) and had broken ribs. he averaged around 24 in his first year and as the season went on and he started getting back into shape, his averages were going up. like in his last 10 games, before getting hurt, he was averaging like 29 a game. he took a sub 20 win teams with the 3rd worst defense the year before and had them in a legitimate position to be 1st in the east and possible league best defense in terms of opponents points per game. if he played the whole year, he had a legitimate shot at being top 5 in ppg and possibly won his 6th MVP. part of the problem is, people didn't look at him and judge his play as a injury ladened 38 year old, the judged his play based on how he played in Chicago.

You seem like a good dude trying to get something started, and I wish you the very best with your channel. Part of reacting to things for the first time is that you may not know the full context. In this case, you’re a little off base, simply from lack of context. Can’t really make a determination about GOAT from a short highlight deal like this. As others have suggested, watch that Jordon v. LeBron analysis, maybe react to it on your channel. It’s very detailed, covers several categories, and while I have nothing bad to say about LeBron, he just really shouldn’t be in the GOAT discussion at all. Top 10 all time maybe.

I appreciate that man! Lebron isn’t my goat either. I’ve watched and studied all of the greats. MJ is my goat. Kobe is my favorite. This video is for entertainment. Obviously highlight videos can’t tell you who is what. It’s just for entertainment purposes. I also want to pay homage to the older generation because the nba sucks right now in my opinion. I have seen the MJ vs lebron debate video. It seemed bias to me. But again lebron is NOT my goat. I think guys like Kareem…magic…bird…Kobe are all up there but to me Jordan is the best.

@@coachwiz43 According to you but not according to hall-of-famer Bob Cousy who said “Jordan had no weaknesses. No imperfections. He’s the Mona Lisa of basketball. I agree with everyone else in the world that Michael Jordan is the best player ever to play this game, BY FAR." Or NBA logo (Jerry West) who said "Michael Jordan stands apart from every player I’ve ever seen. He’s the most skilled player I've ever seen. There is no flaw in this guy’s game. He has the whole package. And his skill level on top of that enormous physical package really sets him apart from all other players.” Or Magic who said “He’s the greatest, no question. MJ is heads and shoulders above everybody else.” Or Shaq who said "Jordan is a 10 and there's no 9s only 8s and 7s." Or hall-of-famer Chris Mullin who said “Jordan is the GOAT. He’s the most complete player - top to bottom. Incredible combination of skill and fundamentals and the most dynamic athlete. For me it’s not even close.” Or 2006 NBA coach of the year (Avery Johnson) who said “Everybody else is a distant second behind Jordan.” Forget b-ball. Magic said “Not only is Jordan the greatest ever and most exciting but he’s the greatest athlete that played any sport.” The soccer GOAT (Messi) agrees. He said "In terms of sports, Jordan is the GOAT." I think all these cats are just a little bit more qualified than you on this subject.

It's not close in the GOAT debate lol I've been watching the NBA since 86, NOT EVEN CLOSE. Watched a bit of Bird maybe 1-200 games, Magic roughly the same number of games, watched a good several hundred games of lechina, watched all of Kobe's career as I live in LA, and have watched nearly all of MJ, even to go as far as recording on a VCR like 99% of all bulls games from 90-98. There is a good reason why us older dudes who watched them all play nearly unanimously pick MJ, and the young ones many pick lechina, that's all they know. But when you seen and know about the other greats, Lechina isn't really top 5 all he has is longevity stats. He WAS passing the rock like that, but only when he needed to, you pass to have a better chance of scoring, well he was the best chance at scoring so he didn't really pass lol. The bulls and his coaches though, told him to score, score, and SCORE. He was moved to PG in march of 89, for 35 games, he avg'd almost a triple double. He had 11 triple doubles in a row while avg over 30 ppg also. He could do it all, but was asked just to score. Over 30 ppg, 10.4 or 11.4 assists, and 9.2 rebounds a game for those 35 games. Last player to score over 3000 in a season, highest vert all time @48", many players, but especially coaches have said he had the biggest hands pound for pound, had the fastest first step by far, a big reason his secondary nickname was black cat. it's why he does all that one handed crazy shit. He has a vid where in a skit on the jimmy kimmel show in 2015 he picked up a pumpkin one handed and he was over 50.

I’ve watched Jordan play and watched 1000 of hours of film on all the other greats. Every generation has their goat. Do I think Jordan is the goat? Yes. Do I think he is 1000x better than everyone else? No lol.
@J24J5 сағат бұрын
I can’t believe you said that. Don’t just repeat things you hear from LBJ fans. Clearly, you did not watch his time with the Wizards. This is a guy who played for love of the game. He played 82 games when he was 40 and he was playing on one leg. That stint did not tarnish his legacy at all. If you bothered to look into it, you’d know exactly what I’m talking about. And btw, he left to play baseball as an homage to his father who had been murdered. That is how he chose to handle his grief. You need to know what you’re talking about before just saying things to be saying things.
@coachwiz435 сағат бұрын
I literally watched it real time lol. Mike was decent with the wizards. Good for a player his age. Yes he left the game after his pops passed. Prior to that though he wanted to take a break due to playing for a year straight after the 92 summer. Which is what I was referring to. His tragic father’s passing just pushed him over the edge. And yes he went to play baseball in honor of his dad. But all you got to do is look it up.

For you to say he should have never came back tells me you didn't watch his Wizard years he was still ballin and given younger cats the business, was he as good at 38 and 40 no but he was still top 15-20 in the league and before the injury was showing signs of returning to form. You should watch his highlights as a wizard. Education is key.

Sir. I would like to see your reaction to 3 videos Sinec you think Jordan is not a great passer or a ball hog 😮 Johnny Arnett 👉 point god Where the Bulls had MJ as point guard for a couple months 🤔 2nd is his UNDERRATED WIZARDS years ... just ti see his stats for those 2 seasons since you ha should not have taken 3 whole years off 🙄 and played as a 40 year old in the NBA gettin buckets and playing Defense 3rd JORDAN vs LeBron the Definitive GOAT 🐐 DEBATE Kobe was great 👍 and deserved more credit than LeBron but he was 80% of Jordan on court. Those 2 were mirror images of each other ❤

@coachwiz43 let's start with your comment about MJs passing Did you know that Jordan was once put at the PG and had 10 triple doubles in 11 games When he won the scoring title and defensive player of the year he averaged 35 ppg 10 consecutive scoring titles is unheard of Wilt has 7 and nobody else has more than 4 MJ has more 40 and 50 point games than the entire roster in the Bulls history 6 chips 6 finals MVP won them everything they have in their cabinet Averaged more in the playoffs than the regular season only SG to rank top 5 in both steals and blocks for his career. The longer LeBron plays the further the distance between him snd MJ he hasn't caught up to Mike who only really played 13 seasons

Mate, Kobe is your favourite player. That doesn't make him the GOAT. That's LeBron fan talk. None of this 'different eras' talk. The AT in GOAT stands for All Time. Does the era you love fit into that time frame. Kobe became Kobe in the NBA. MJ entered the NBA as Michael Jordan. Your favourite player is not as good as MJ, Jordan fans that excludes you of course. My favourite player was drafted right after Shaq so accepting my favourite wasn't the greatest was easy. He wasn't the best in his draft class. Don't forget, not as good as MJ leaves room for literally every other player on the planet EVER. Accept MJ as the GOAT and you will be happier. You will also look smarter. His dad was murdered possibly in an attempted kidnapping if I remember correctly. Baseball was his way of grieving for his dad. To be fair, Baseball is less entertaining than a funeral
