MJ was an all around better ball player than Lebron. MJ's only weakness, he was selfish on the court. Lebron has a lot of weaknesses, well not a lot, but a few. Plus he just isn't about BB every single time he steps on the court. MJ didn't care if it was pre-season warmup he was there to win. He would imagine the waterboy Tommy Bouchey, called his mom a whore just to be pissed of enough to ruin everyone elses night.

Not true. Watch Bird highlights, and try and tell yourself there was any1 who played the game of basketball better. It's almost impossible to do. Go back and forth between Larry and mj as goat. LeBron isn't in the debate. His debate is between him, steph, and DR J for 9-11th all time

@@iggles73 Foreword: This is all my opinion. Jordan became Bird with athleticism. I'm a Celtics diehard. My list is Jordan then Bird. Same minds, when it came to ball. Then a gap. After that is debatable, but I've never seen anything like those two. Records & longevity be damned. Those two were a completely different species than any players I have ever seen to this day & I love todays game.

Facts. Lebron vs Kobe is more of a debate. Kareem is number 2 but due to when he played is his only questionable argument. Not because he not playing good talent but bc more athletic talent nowadays. He dominated every league and aspect so he’s number 2

@@ChiNoles84 Basketball wasn't Jordan favorite sport it was baseball he loved both but baseball was #1. So to fulfill something his dad wanted he retired a few months after his Dad passed to play baseball because he knew his dad always wanted him to play baseball. Alot of people don't know Jordan was gonna retire in 92 but it was his dad an Phil Jackson who convinced him to go for the 3 peat something that wasn't done since Bill Russell, it's so rare Infact Shaq was the last superstar to do it and Jordan won 3 straight TWICE. If his dad had said to him before he passed Michael listen I want you to go for as many championships as you can don't stop that man would've retired in 05 an shattered all types of records and had a winning championship record that's the difference, he Would've got to Kareem record in way less time than it took LeBron to get it and he is flawless in championship play. Jordan dad was his motivator, he didn't have the love after his dad passed last time he was on a basketball court in Phoenix in June of 93 remember his dad was there an at the time he retired he was comfortable because he said his dad got to see his last game in the NBA he felt he had to take a mental an emotional step away. Most Black players don't have that father son connection so they'll never get it.

Literally the commentators were talking about how he needed to make it harder but it was 13 consecutive baskets before he made that crazy lay double switch hands lay up in the FINALS it's mind boggling crazy how GOOD MJ is 😧 Michael Jordan is and will always be THE GOAT!!! Also people seem to forget that Michael Jordan average 30.1ppg 6 ast and. 6 boards so Michael Jordan was a phenomenal passer! He had seasons where he averaged over eight assists 35 points 4 steals 8 boards!! MJ is a different kind of beast and when we see someone who comes close we will admit it but we have not seen that yet!!!

Now, the NBA has a low, viewership problem, along with players who aren't motivated to compete against the best and play 82 games. It's sad watching what the NBA has become. All that talent and all they want to do, is team up with each other and shoot 1000 3's per game. The last All-Star Game, proved these guys don't really care about the fans or providing who's better than who. Paying for those tickets, were a waste of $ for those who paid. The NBA doesn't have a problem with talent. It's loaded with that. It has an identity crisis, along with a total, lack of competent, leadership.

I remember walking into the kitchen one morning in 1993 and my dad telling me that Michael Jordan retired. I shed some tears. Then the anger. This man had us literally going through the 7 stages of grief. You were very aware watching him play that you were witnessing something even beyond generational greatness. I've bled purple & gold since Magic's rookie season (1979). Have seen many ATGs in person, including MJ, and the gap between him and everybody else is the size of Michael Strahan's. Magic said it best "There's MJ then there's everybody else." Kobe was a Thrift Shop version of MJ. Jordan was Kobe on PEDs. Remember, these are highlights. Jordan was a guy who constantly saw double and triple teams combined with having to know how to get his shot off consistently vs. defenses designed to stop him from scoring or getting the ball ... so he had to be a complete basketball player concerning 'how' to get open or 'how' to read a situation -- this is why they had to have the triangle offense in Chicago because it automatically spaced the floor and made the offensive set (just like in football a play-call design) the point guard instead of having to rely on Paxson, Hodges, or Armstrong to get him the ball or for another teammate to create their own shot -- it was Tex Winters' offense that made Jordan settle down, move the ball more within the half court set while also he still would average 30 shooting 50% but prior to that his individual scoring averages were into 37 ppg with hand-checking and no flagrant fouls in the game during that 1987-1988 season, and he won defensive player of the year, so he had both sides of the game covered. Literally every night Michael Jordan was worth the price of admission, even when they lost he did well but was pissed and always made his team better and himself better every season.
@CoachWizReacts
@CoachWizReacts 2 ай бұрын
Yes his airness did this against every defense imaginable in an era that allowed hand checking and allowed defenders to be way more physical in general. Crazy how much the game has changed. But Jordan dominated on both ends and would in any era

@@CoachWizReacts Oh yeah, hands down nobody doubts how great #23 is and what's funny is nobody looks at how every year, he improved. He didn't try and be like anyone else, just improved on his own game, what he had and how he played to win; he was always a championship type of player but he had to learn how to win titles and break down teams, still couldn't figure out the Pistons even though he put up great numbers but couldn't dominate that team; the Pistons had to let him win in '91 and break up their team in the summer of '91 to keep Jordan winning. Remember, it's business and politics and kept Jordan on top, the game itself in the 90's was about selling products to produce all that money for the players, thanks to the negotiations of Isiah Thomas, President of the Player's Union, who negotiated a 53% revenue share for players vs. owners and Thomas made sure players could monetize their image, likeness, and receive greater health care benefits, pensions, bonuses, royalties, and agents would get less money. The problem was,when you have corporations who invest in the NBA with billions, they want to put their 'hands' on how the game is played, which is why back then it sucked and how Jordan had to win to make sure those corporations had a return on their investment, so what did the Isiah Thomas-led Pistons do? They stepped aside and let Jordan win and broke up their team to make sure he'd keep winning so other players could benefit financially ... remember, Magic/Bird were old/done and Jordan was the future, so the only one beating him is Isiah Thomas, so Isiah hooked up Mike because Thomas looked out for the well-being of the players as a league off the court and in business for their futures of the big picture. This is why Thomas gets a bad reputation with the media because he didn't bow down economically to how the players were treated by major corporations, he dominated them at their own game and this is why he has always been discredited as 'bad' or 'bad for the game' or his team was labeled as 'evil' and all that team did was stand for community and social justice and constitutional freedoms in Detroit which is why Nelson Mandela came there after he was in prison in South Africa which sealed the fate of 'The Detroit Pistons' winning; Thomas and John Salley as well as other community leaders were there to embrace and celebrate Mandela. So that's the impact of what that Pistons team was 'culturally' but Jordan didn't get it, he played that media game and labeled his own as 'bad' or 'bad for the game' for his own personal success...so Mike was used as a pawn and people still compare his record vs. LeBron James, which is discrediting Jordan. See?

@coachwiz43 well considering when he came back, he was out of shape, had tendinitis in both his knees (and was getting his knees drained of fluid almost every game) and had broken ribs. he averaged around 24 in his first year and as the season went on and he started getting back into shape, his averages were going up. like in his last 10 games, before getting hurt, he was averaging like 29 a game. he took a sub 20 win teams with the 3rd worst defense the year before and had them in a legitimate position to be 1st in the east and possible league best defense in terms of opponents points per game. if he played the whole year, he had a legitimate shot at being top 5 in ppg and possibly won his 6th MVP. part of the problem is, people didn't look at him and judge his play as a injury ladened 38 year old, the judged his play based on how he played in Chicago.

In this case, you’re a little off base, simply from lack of context. Can’t really make a determination about GOAT from a short highlight deal like this. As others have suggested, watch that Jordon v. It’s very detailed, covers several categories, and while I have nothing bad to say about LeBron, he just really shouldn’t be in the GOAT discussion at all. Top 10 all time maybe.

Also, MJ not being a great passer is a complete myth, as he is statistically 6th all time among shooting guards in assists per game (4th if we exclude James Harden and Allen Iverson, who both played a sizable portion of their careers at PG).

MJ has the most beautiful game on both ends of the court I have ever seen. Most complete and winning at the same time. I have never see another player work so hard on both ends. Kobe got close to 96-98 MJ but he never approached prime MJ. Hard to believe someone was better than Kobe but I seen him real time from Carolina to Wizards. Btw, go watch the breakdown of MJ’s Wizards years. It ain’t what you think. MJ was so beyond good in his Chicago years that being a mere top 10-15 player in the league in his Wizards years is viewed as a failure😆. Let that sink in. He was still putting allstar numbers on both ends with bad knees, yet there’s a myth that he was trash on the Wizards. This era’s need to believe lies and fake reality is hilarious.
