That wouldn't have happened. Much as I love MJ, and as much as I'd love to be able to say he'd have gotten eight... it just isn't realistic, they would have just been too gassed to do that. 7 is possible, although not guaranteed.

Jordan's role on the Bulls was as the primary scorer and a defender. It is a misnomer to call him a ball hog when he averaged 6 apg, and shot over 50% as a Bull.

This narrator of this video sneakily disses MJ multiple times in this video. Pippen didn't _always_ guard the opposing team's best player. It depended on the matchup. As you said, Jordan guarded Magic in the '91 Finals. And Jordan mostly guarded Reggie Miller when they matched up with the Pacers in the playoffs.

Favorite MJ fact of all time 6:00 As a freshman with the North Carolina Tar Heels, Michael Jordan hit the game-winning jump shot in the victory over the Georgetown Hoyas to win the 1982 national championship. “That turned my name from Mike to Michael Jordan,” he said in “The Last Dance.” “It gave me the confidence that I needed to start to excel at the game of basketball.” MJ accepted who he was as a man. Turned out he was the greatest basketball player of all time lol Don’t be afraid to be you.

2:55 If you actually did your research, you’d see that MJ had to score the ball as often as he could, he had no choice because his teammates were cokeheads and he couldn’t rely on them to knock down an open shot to save their lives…He didn’t have the talent on his team like Magic, Bird & Isiah had? His teammates cared more about partying before the games started, during halftime and especially after the game… he said he wanted no part of that lifestyle and kept to himself! How can you Bond as a group, when the mid 80’s drug epidemic was Rampant ! Scottie Pippen wanted to be part of that movement, he enjoyed partying and playing limited minutes… he needs to thank his lucky star’s that MJ was willing to train him properly and mentor him until he became a reliable sidekick and a defensive minded monster with a newly toughened mentality !!

Moses Malone was drafted to the NBA right out of high school in 1974 and was first player to have that done. Even though my favorite players are Larry Bird and Micheal Jordan, I still wanted to mention that about Moses Malone because some people might not have known that he was the first high school player to be drafted into the NBA straight out of high school.

Think you guys missed the bit about when he scored his six threes.... he did it in the first half of the game. It was a record in the finals, and he did it in half a game. Also, btw, MJ isn't _really_ 6'6"- players are measured in shoes, so they're usually about an inch shorter than their listed height. In MJ's case, it's a little under a full 6'5".

Okay the Bulls owner told Scottie NOT to sign that long-term contract. Knowing the way the league was going that contract wouldn't age well. Scottie signed anyway. He was getting paid around $3 million close to what Jordan was getting paid around 3.2-3.4 million. Michael's last two contracts were one year deals 30 million each year. He only got those contract after his long-term contract that pay him 3.4 million EXPIRED. He waited. So Michael and Scottie won 4 championships making averaging just over 3 million dollars. They never renegotiated Michael's contract so why would they renegotiate Scottie's contract. The owner also warned Scottie if he signs that contract he will not renegotiate. The NBA had free agency but the owner's still had the bulk of the power. During Michael's first 7 years contract, that contracted average $900k a year. That was the average. However the contract with backloaded paying more in the future. So his rookie year he only paid 555k and about 675k, his second year. The media was always asking Jordan, " Do you think you're underpaid." He would just say I signed the contract. Jordan's $30 million contract was part of the Larry Bird exception which allowed teams to go over the salary cap to resign a star veteran. Those were the only two years Michael was the highest paid player in the league. Scotty just upset with Michael because he felt Michael made him look bad in his documentary for mentioning the 0.8 seconds he chose sit out, because Phil Jackson chose to have Tony Kucko take the last shot. He thought Michael was wrong for mentioning it because he wasn't even there that season.

College should be important to young players. It's where they develop themselves and make their mistakes away from the pressure cooker of the NBA and they come into the league as men and are usually more developed, better players and ready to handle starting day 1. It wasn't just MJ, most of the 80's and 90's stars all did 2,3, sometimes 4 years in college. Far too many kids coming into the NBA now are underdeveloped and are projects who struggle for 2, maybe 3 seasons, when if they went to college would've been better players once drafted. As a result the NBA is weaker as a product because we have to wait for these kids to develop and in some cases they never do because they didn't learn the necessary steps in college.

You're wrong. The NBA rule that required players to wait four years after high school graduation before entering the NBA was abolished in 1971 with the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Haywood v. National Basketball Association. The ruling allowed players to enter the NBA draft early if they could show evidence of hardship to the NBA. The NBA implemented a new age requirement in 2005, known as the "one-and-done" rule, which made high school seniors ineligible for the draft. However, the NBA did allow high school postgraduates to enter the draft if they were at least 19 years old and one year removed from high school graduation. Amir Johnson was the last high school player to be drafted into the NBA before a new collective bargaining agreement rule went into effect. The Detroit Pistons selected Johnson, who played for Westchester High School in Los Angeles, with the 56th overall pick. Before the rule change, Dwight Howard was a notable player who went straight from high school to the NBA. The Orlando Magic drafted Howard with the first overall pick in his draft class.

Pippen signed a long term contract for a large amount to him at the time but after a couple years he was getting way less than he should have but he signed that deal. Maybe Chicago could have paid him more but then they don’t have the team they have. They should have made it up to him afterwards if possible. 10 mil a season to be an assistant coach or something. Something that doesn’t effect the teams cap but does get him paid for his contributions to making those teams great.

Jordan was the most under paid player in the league. He always honored his contract. When he got his last contract he said he's not negotiating but they better not disrespect me so they offered him 60M 2yrs contract which was huge at the time. As far as Pippen contract everyone told him it was a bad contract Jordan and management. In those days players took long contracts for security in case they got hurt so scottie took the bad contract.

You know whats crazy about leading the league in FG attempts for MJ was? for his career he still shot 49% from the field. Except in the clutch where he shot 50% FG lol. I also love how they say when he started at PG he got 10 TD's in 11 games and averaged 30/10/9.5 then instantly turn around and say he was a ball hog. Didnt he out AST MAGIC JOHNSON in '91 Finals? Has second highest AST average in a Finals series too that still stands to this day at 11.4 AST per game from your SG! I was there his rookie and first few years. Look at his team. Who did he have to pass to? Orlando Wooldridge was the only other scorer, next best player was Charles Oakley who was never a big scorer. MJ STILL averaged about 6 AST per game for his career. What a "Ball Hog" right? That's the biggest issue these days in sports and society as a whole in 2025 = the retroactive character assassination's going on. Stahp! Even as that was happening way back then I was one of few people scratching my head and challenging people whenever they said that and in 2025 people STILL want to try and say it. STAHP!

About the Pip's contract, MJ adviced him not to sign that contract but at that time Pip's family is having financial difficulties so he signed it, MJ wanted Pip to get paid, and before the 1998 season, Jerry Reinsdorf (Bulls Owner) decided to replace Phil Jackson, MJ and the other Bulls decided that it will also be their last year as a team, as seen in "The Last Dance" MJ is a huge role for Pip to get a large contract thru sign and deal to Houston (sorry for my bad grammar, english is not my first language)

17:53 Yes Jordan won a bunch of scoring titles but he ALWAYS had competition. Dominique Wilkins and Karl Malone routinely averaged between 28 - 30 points per game. Then David Robinson was in the mix as well. And a former scoring champ Bernard King had a great come back with the Washington Bullets (King had fractured his knee playing ironically or not if you believe in conspiracies) against the Kings. In the early and mid eighties Jordan had competition from Adrian Dantly, Alex English, Kiki Vanderwegh, George Gervin, Mark Aguire, and Jeff Malone. Even Larry Bird had a year where he averaged over 29 ppg. In the 90s there was also Mitch Richmond and his teammate Chris Mullin and Barkley. One year while being coached by Rick Pitino Patrick Ewing averaged 28.6 points. Towards the end of Jordan's run with the Bulls, there was Shaq, Iverson, and Vince Carter. There were always players in any of the years that Jordan won his scoring titles that put up great numbers and competed to be scoring champ but Jordan was simply the best.

What makes the GOAT debate impossible is how different they played the games in each era. If Jordan played in today's NBA in his prime his numbers would be INSANE. Because when Jordan played it was WAY more physical. Scoring was simply more difficult. Today you get called for a foul for the littlest bit of contact. Now, this isn't to say LeBron isn't great, he is. But its just different. LeBrons main move is driving to the rim full force, and drawing fouls. If he played in Jordans era he wouldn't at all be able to drive to the rim like he can in the modern NBA. And his jumpshot is way too inconsistent. Plus, the longevity debate to me shouldn't matter, but I can understand when someone feels it does matter. But today's medicine, and recovery methods are way more advanced than in Jordans era. And also, he spent 3 years in college, LeBron didn't. Jordan went away during his prime, and retired at the top, when he could have easily played 3-5 more seasons. People usually laugh at his Wizards years, but he was still putting up insane numbers, just not the same numbers he put up as a Bull. And in all honesty Kobe was a MJ clone, so it was always fun watching him as well. So I ramble all of that to say, you can think whoever you want is the GOAT. To me I look at it this way. If we are talking about longevity then LeBron is the GOAT, but if we are talking about peaks then MJ has it. I appreciate yall going back and learning about past eras. I hope you and anyone who reads this has a wonderful, positive and safe day/night!

I could probably name 60 or 70 players from the past that were skilled. But MJ was a lot different and he feared nobody. He's kind of a mix between Ja Morant's dunking and Kyrie Irving's crazy moves. That “fairness” in paycheck issue is really stupid. MJ was bringing in more money than Pippen. He had a worldwide market. So of course, the Bulls were going to pay him more. Just like in the MLB now with Ohtani’s contract. People are saying “oh this guy is better than him so he deserves that contract instead” but none of them consider that Ohtani’s popularity in two major baseball markets (US, Japan) plus Taiwan and Korea, too - makes the contract make sense. Because he’s paying for it himself with the revenues he’s running up for the Dodgers. Same with MJ then. Teams would splurge on stars who can bring them the most money. That’s just how it is. Of course, that doesn’t take away from their greatness because the fact that they’re winners is why people spend money to see them or buy their merch to begin with.

PEOPLE FAIL TO SEE that MJ ONLY had 2 years of high school basketball, so he really didnt KNOW or was taught how to play as a TEAM.. so it took him a few years.. besides he had CRAP teammates.. so ONCE he learned to trust some good players he knew how to play as a TEAM..

People stayed in college because they wanted the education. The money was really good but wasnt like it is now in the NBA. You could get hurt and not see a dime. The contracts werent guaranteed then.

He the league in shots 9 times because even when the Bulls became a better team he was still the only player that can consistently get his own shot. Plus he shot %50 for his Bulls career so I say so what. It wasn't like he was jacking up shots and shooting %44 percent or something. He was making over half of them 😆

There were so many insane lies in that vid. 1) Pippen did not usually guard the other team best player. 2) Pippen only guarded Magic in game 2 of the 91 finals. MJ guarded him all the other games. There were a lot of muscular players in MJ day. Allan Houston, Kevin Willis, David Robinson, Karl Malone, to name just a few. The PISTONS WERE NOT ON THE DECLINE. All of the piston were all still well in their prime. They literally were just back to back champions and all still in their prime. If winning 2 Championships to 2 season b4, how did MJ complete two 3peats? That video was a lot of lies.

Ball hog did not apply to Jordan. He always had the green light and the ball was his to share. Everyone on the team knew it. Kukoc could have started for any team in the league/world but he was ok sitting on the bench watching Jordan play! Also knew he'd get the opportunity to play and win with the Goat!

I'm 57 so you know I know I only watch two see how many mistakes someone makes you touched on Michael Jordan staying 3 years he would have stayed the whole 4 years reason why he came out early because Dean Smith told him to because he was going to get hurt Dean had to talk to his mother and let her know and she was cool with that and she understood and no Marcus is not messing with Shorty no more he been moved on do your homework unlike Travis Hunter he seen the light he knew what was at state😂😂😂😂😂

guy who makes these videos is a bron stan. Didn't mention how he's the only player to win scoring title and defensive player of the year in the same year...he says "he's one of 5 players to win mvp and defensive player" instead... also said "despite the accolades, he was always losing" which is bullshit, he never missed the playoffs even in his rookie season.

Pippen was getting crumbs because he didn’t listen to Players giving him advice to not sign that weak contract and wait it out to get a better contract but he signed it because his family was having Personal medical problems but after he signed that contract he pretty much screwed himself over.Pippen got paid way more on the downside of his Career playing for Blazers then ever did when he played for Bulls

MJ was not a ball hog. It's his position as shooting guard. He's actually fourth all time in shooting guards for assist per game.

Jordan joined a horrible Bulls team so he had to be a “ball hog”. Also, he didn’t “waste” 3 years in college, those years were the key to his development. Same thing with Tim Duncan doing all 4 years. Both came into the league and dominated immediately.

Saying Jordan was a ball hog is very dramatic. He took smart shots, and he rarely forced it (which is something Kobe did too much). There was nobody you'd rather have with the ball in their hands.. you knew the right play was going to happen.

For a so called ball hog, he had alot of assist. I think folks dont realize his job wad to score. His teammates knew his job. We all know what it is to play with someone better or to be the better player. The better player gets more put on their shoulders. (Bron tried to be mj in school and his coach told him no. His coach learn as we seen told him get the team envolved like magic) so there is no comparison. I wish folks realize this
