@@KINGAMIIAMKING I'm speaking in terms of how it turned out. Jordan's like 7 and 4 years younger than the other two and ended up taking over right after they were leaving. Not only that, but while all of the others were trying to ignore and bury MJ, Larry said "Fuck that noise" and made sure that nobody could ignore him by talking about him very chance he got. Even MJ mentions that Bird's spotlighting of him was a positive development since it forced the others to take notice. They couldn't ignore something that was being raved about by one of the two biggest voices in the league at the time.

No question in my mind (YES - I know how stupid this sounds!) If you could transport those three players into today’s league - in their prime - they would not just dominate, they would humiliate the top echelon players. The level of physicality that Magic, Bird and Jordan had to play with/against is unheard of today. Maybe what I’m saying is that if you put Bill Laimbeer, Dennis Rodman and John Salley in today’s league they would dominate…? I don’t actually remember WHAT I’m saying - that’s how old I am!

@be who he is, Sorry for the length but people keep repeating the same bad story. Michael never played Bird in the Eastern conference finals. Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish, Dennis Johnson, Bill Walton All Hall of Famers. All except Dennis on the 50/75 NBA team. When Michael entered the NBA, 2 to 3 Celtics made the All-Star team every year (even Danny Ainge). Michael was the only Bulls' representative on the All-Star team before Pippen's 3rd year. Those early Bulls teams were winning 38-42 games. Celtics were winning 60 plus once almost 70 games. Nobody thought those Bulls stood any shot of beating those Celtics teams. Even if Michael believed that, he was delusional. People keep repeating a story stated with no context so it was baseless from the beginning. The early Bulls were must see because of Michael but they weren't any good. Those Celtics teams were legendary.The NBA didn't have a lottery back then. The Bulls were positioned to draft Jordan 3rd in '84 for a reason. They were able to draft & trade at 8th in '87 for Scottie for a reason. They were trash hence 0-6.

FOR ALL THE KNUCKLE HEADS THAT SAY JORDAN NEVER BEAT BIRD, YOUR CRAZY AND UNINFORMED. MICHAEL JORDAN HAS AN 11-17 RECORD VS LARRY IN THE REGULAR SEASON, SO YES, MICHAEL DID BEAT BIRD IN GAMES. HOWEVER MICHAEL DIDN'T BEAT BIRD IN THE PLAYOFFS, JORDAN IS 06 VERSUS BIRD IN THE PLAYOFFS, THEY ONLY PLAYED EACH OTHER 6 TIMES! NOW LET'S CLEAR THAT SHYT UP! JORDAN PLAYED LARRY IN THE PLAYOFFS IN HIS SOPHOMORE YEAR IN THE NBA. THAT WOULD BE 1985! LARRY BIRD AND THE CELTICS WERE THE DEFENDING NBA CHAMPIONS THAT YEAR HAVING WON IT IN JORDAN'S ROOKIE YEAR IN 1984! JORDAN WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BEAT BIRD BECAUSE JORDAN DIDN'T HAVE A TEAM THAT COULD COMPETE WITH THE WORLD CHAMPIONS. WHEN JORDAN DROPPED 63 POINTS ON THE CELTS HE HAD JUST CAME BACK FROM A BROKEN FOOT INJURY WHERE HE MISSED 64 REGULAR SEASON GAMES AND HE STILL DROPPED 63 ON THAT TEAM. TIL THIS DAY THAT RECORD STANDS AS THE MOST POINTS IN AN NBA PLAYOFF GAME! HOW DO YOU EXPECT MICHAEL JORDAN TO BEAT THE DEFENDING CHAMPIONS WHEN HE DIDN'T HAVE A TEAM THAT COULD COMPETE WITH THEM? BIRD BEAT MAGIC AND ISIAH THAT YEAR, WHAT CHANCE DID JORDAN, OAKLEY AND ORLANDO WOOLRIDGE HAVE HAVE AGAINST LARRY BIRD, KEVIN MC HALE, DENNIS JOHNSON, DANNY AINGE, RICK CARLISLE(THE GUY STANDING NEXT TO BIRD AS HE TALKS TO MAGIC IN THE LOCKERROOM) BILL WALTON, SAM VINCENT, SCOTT WEDMAN, AND GREG KITE! THE BULLS WEREN'T BEATING THEM. SO YOU CAN STOP YELPING ABOUT JORDAN NOT BEATING LARRY, HE DID, HE JUST DIDN'T DO IT IN THE POST SEASON WHEN HE FACED THEM AS THE DEFENDING NBA CHAMPIONS!

It’s truly admirable how Michael despite all that Magic had and was going through, never turned his back on him or treated him with discuss. That’s what you call real friendship and not being afraid.

That is the difference in a nutshell, these greats passion for the game verus Lebrons passion for his ego.

Bird in his prime would own both of them. Russell and Chamberlain only rank higher than Bird.

When the game ACTUALLY mattered.....Adam Silver DESTROYED the NBA
@libfit9068
@libfit9068 9 ай бұрын
Don’t blame it on Adam silver. Blame it on these new age players who would rather want easy championships than earn it the hard way. Competitiveness is a lost mindset. These players who were at the head of their franchise wanted to lead their team to a title. Nowadays we have players like LeBron who literally join forces with other franchise players looking to win easy championships, dude literally took DWade who was Heats franchise player, Bosh who was Raptors franchise player, KLove who was Timberwolves franchise player, Kyrie who was Cavs franchise player, AD who was pelicans franchise player, etc.
