Yeah, he wanted this revenge so bad. He was seething with anger waiting for the rematch. He wanted to dominate and destroy them and that's what happened. 4-0. He clearly took losing the previous year personally. He was a bit rusty the year he came back from baseball, which was his only questionable year. 95-96 was amazing though, and some people think that was MJ's best ever year. He was not playing around, poor Orlando looked completely outclassed.

9:40 he’s still defending even after blowing the Magic out. This was definitely personal
@aro245 Жыл бұрын
it was so personal that he couldnt run it back with the same team he had. even though the bulls were favored to win the 1995 series, and even though the bulls had a better team. jordan didnt run it back. he went and recruited rodman. not only did rodmans team beat jordan and the bulls in the playoffs more than the bulls beat them,,, rodman was 1 of jordans and the bulls biggest enemies. but jordan wanted rodman so bad that he even bumped heads with pippen. pippen didnt want rodman as a teammate, but jordan did. so jordan recruited rodman anyway. whats funny is once rodman became a bull, the bulls became the only superteam in the entire league at the time. that was a monster superteam bulls team.
@aro245 Жыл бұрын
that bulls team had 3 of the top 5 best defenders of that era on 1 team. jordan, pippen and rodman. plus they had ron harper who was also a good defender. kukoc was labeled the jordan of euro basketball. ron harper was averging 21.2ppg before he went to the bulls. rodman averaged 15 rebounds per game for a whole season 6 seasons in a row before heading to the bulls. and with the bulls rodman made it 7 straight seasons with 15 rebounds per game. pippen is the best 1 on 1 defender ever. jordan was a great scorer. there was no match up with the bulls during those 3 years. the sonics? the jazz? the sonics had 1 scorer. payton. the jazz had 1 scorer. malone. for ya to act like jordan ran it back with the same team is socheerleaderish of ya. thats some real hanggliding right there. jordan needed rodman and a superteam to beat a baby shaq and a baby penny. meanwhile ya bash lebron for creating his team? 😂🫵🏼😂. whats even funnier is, jordan had a superteam to face average or good teams. lebron had a superteam to face the other superteams in the league. but ya bash? 😂🫵🏼😂. jordan fans are so funny.

When Jordan retired I had really begun to understand the game of basketball. My favorite team was the Magic. But I kept hearing about this Jordan guy. I knew of him, but had never seen him play because I had no tape. Jordan comes back and he gets beat by the Magic. I’m like he’s good but I don’t get it. The next year when the season began I watched this guy wearing number 23 demolish everything in his path. I was still a Magic fan by the time of this series. I wasn’t after.
@billj4525 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was a kid back then and had never seen Jordan play before he went to baseball. When he came back and lost to the magic I was real disappointed. The next year he just destroyed everything and everyone. The bull went 72-10 and could have potentially won even more. They sweeped the magic. I understood what this MJ guy was about even as a young kid. From that point on he hit another 3 peat. Anyone that ever wanted to see MJ fail or the bulls lose would always be very disappointed as MJ would demolish their favorite team and player. I use to see that happen all the time.

False premise Charles. What did past prime MJ do to Shaq in the revenge season playoffs? He out shined him. MJ definitely could outshine Prime Shaq just like he out shined every big in the big man, rim protection era. I think a lot of the reason Kobe didn’t get equal billing vs Shaq for MVP etc is because the media hated him. My personal belief is the league wanted to move on from MJ as his standard was too high for anyone else to reach. Lebron was to be the “chosen one” to move the masses minds off of the Jordan standard. But, unfortunately for LeSilver, Kobe carried the Jordan standard and reminded the masses of how high a bar Jordan set, which made LeBron all but invisible. So the deliberately shunned Kobe in the MVP awards and made the media disparage him constantly. Mind games on the masses, but it didn’t work until Kobe got old and injured. Then he retired and they went full court press on trying to rewrite history and bury the Jordan standard. Lebron can’t match Kobe, Kareem, Duncan, Magic, Bird in skill or respect from the fans, much more Jordan even with the entire 14 year commercial by the LeMedia trying to promote him as goat and better than Kobe. It’s pathetic to see a league that would burn down the true top greats just to promote an illegitimate goat candidate that’s not a real goat candidate. They tried to create a new standard or in other words, lower it so much in the eyes of the paying public, that someone like Lebron could be in their fake goat convo’s. The only one close to MJ standard is Kobe, so there is no way Lebron can be one or two, not three, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7, not 8. lol. Unless you lie on history and use cheat codes to get easy rings, while stat padding your individual numbers at the cost of team success.

@@donaldsmith6737 Most people know MJ is the GOAT, but the fact that anyone thinks he's not is a problem. Recency bias exists though so I'm not surprised that some youngsters in their 20s have Lebron as their GOAT instead. NBA player polls still have Jordan as the GOAT by a good amount, and those won't be accurate because of recency bias. It should be even more for Jordan. It shows how good Jordan was, just so far ahead of everyone. The fact that none of these players ever played with MJ and still have him as the GOAT over Lebron says A LOT about Jordan and how respected he is. I still think EVERYONE should know Jordan is the GOAT. It's so clear, and I like Lebron, he's an amazing player too, just not Jordan.
