The return of Mj in this is why today at the age of 44 i still go out there and play. I too have had surgery on a torn meniscus because of wanting to return and play. Now fully back a year after surgery i have limits but i still play well using spacing and fundamentals to get my shots in and still have a few highlights of my own. My doctor told me i would never be able to play again, but i took inspiration from MJ and use that as fuel to go out there and play and teach Collage ball players to never stop fighting to get better.

I just watch his interview with Marvin Shanken yesterday. This got me, he already knows his role and goal from the start. It gave me a perspective on what really happened in his days as a Wizard player. "What I learned in Washington and you know in my first couple of years I was a general manager then next couple years I went down and played because I still felt I can impact the game from a player standpoint now with the same magnitude of what happened in Chicago but from a teaching standpoint saying that okay a lot of these kids they believe in leadership from a physical sense where I can show you how hard it takes to work you know I'm in the gym the first one in the gym and the last one, I felt I could pass that"

Just so painful watching through his career again (kinda enjoyable too...he was better those early years). It seems around 05/06 they could see he isn't going to win without allowing travelling ect. By 2009 vs Orlando (ECF) you can clearly see refs trying to clear the lane putting Magic in foul trouble and allowing him to change pivot door many times when he posted up...whilst calling less egregious fouls on Orlando. By 2012 (his so called best year) Klutch now existed and NBA also already had the script. Glad to hear Gil finally admit that first ring was a gift.

If LeBron retired and came back that jabroni would join the previous years champions lol. Jordan went to what I assume if not the WORST team had to be a top 3, right? I respect Jordan for playing with the Wizards it enhances his legacy to me. Was he prime MJ? no, but 1 of the great What if's is what if MJ didn't get hurt, I mean he would've never won a title in Washington because no matter how great you are you need at least solid players around you but his last dance was a chance for people to see him play. I also find it hilarious when people use his terrible ownership skills in the GOAT debate like I think Jordan would be man enough to admit he wasn't a great owner but it has 0 impact on what he did as a player. Also as I just got to this part in the video, Jordan agreed to come off the bench...Fanboys your King would never! lol
@TheRealMindCrime2 ай бұрын
Absolutely! MJ just wanted to compete. If that meant coming off the bench while he gets stronger he did it. He cared more about playing every game then starting and missing a bunch of games. He did the same on his second season coming off injury. Minutes restrictions, not starting, he just went out and played every game once he was medically cleared.

Love the break down(s) from our time watching him back in the days, I’d say 1987-88 for me, with the bulls to the days with the wizards. It was tough watching the NBA during those years. His era in that era was so cringe because of all of the corny madness out during those 2000’s. I remember playing varsity football as a freshman in th 80s... Back then, it was inevitable you were going to get blindside hit at some point. I played safety and hot blindsided. I'm 14 yrs old, it was the first time I had the wind knocked out of me. The head coach pushed everyone back as I'm writhing on the ground askjng god to help me. The coach says, Hunter, Are you hurt or are you injured?? If you're injured stay your ass on the grounfd and we will give you some help. If you're hurt, get your ass up, we still have an hour of practice to get to... After a few seconds I wanted to play so I got up.... Today, they would probably fire that coach 😂😂 but the mentality of o ercomkng whatever is slowly being taken out of competition.

As a 46 year old who's been a Knicks fanatic for 38 years, believe me when I say that heaping any praise onto Jordan KILLS ME 😂 Like Pun said in DREAM SHATTERER, "I SHATTER DREAMS LIKE JORDAN," (great name/description for MJ if u aint a fan of his/Bulls, btw), watching him do it to my team, and in the finals against teams/players I was a regular "fan" of, I REALLY TRULY did grow up watching Jordan go out and play his way right into the blackest, hate filled parts of my heart. If it wasn't for this RIDICULOUS "debate" of LBJ being better than Jordan, I'd probably still hate MJ to this very second. So when an open and shameless ACTUAL hater begins advocating for the subject of that hate, you gotta stop for a sec and realize that there just might be something to that praise. And i never really understood the Wizards MJ bashing as it was happening,,but living thru it, trust me, it wasn't even that bad back then. It was truly the proverbial "loud minority" and believe it or not, the irrational Jordan SUPERFANS that were spewing the most "hate." Maybe since the internet wasn't what it was back then, so u had to find the shyt talking in only specific places... but regardless, this MYTH of Jordan's Wizards years being a FAILURE (😂), or what u hear now a lot "uhhh we won't talk about his Washington years...," smh... I still dont remember this "Wiz MJ sucks" being as BIG as it is now, as it was then. And really the MAIN reason why I remember it thjs way, is simply because HE WASNT THIS GOOF, MOOK, FAILURE that dominates the narrative now! If you feel that those years WERE horrible, you NEED to take deeper dives into those seasons, and watch vids like this, and read real in depth, objective pieces breaking it down. Sadly (ugh, can't believe that I started a MJ sentence with SADLY lol), if it were not for his injuries, I'm CERTAIN that the narrative would be much different. MJ was sooooo heating up, soooo ready to fully bust out... shyt, he already was hot and breaking out his dominant game.. but that hot stretch didn't last as long as it shoulda. Allllll that said, u really can just sum it up with what the Wiz were the year before he joined, and where they were, where they were going, and what their "on-pace" was going to bring them, while factoring in MJs age, to really take in WHAT 39/40 YEAR OLD MJ did in Washington... At 100% health, he probably goes back to the finals, HOWEVERRRRRR.... In the likely event that his young team LOST a finals series... well... then you're looking at a whoooole new "debate," that not only takes away his unblemished record, but actually includes people in his corner, saying that the fact that the Wiz were even there, when they sucked the years before a 40 year old led them to a few more wins away from a chip actually IMPROVES his undebateable GOAT argument.... Truly a storm of misinformation, misinterpretations, and a gaggle of "haters" slanting a great story and good part if a legacy in a negative light
