That's basically the first sports show interview phone call I watched where the person who was interviewed got this upset. Granted, it was only Michael Kay talking to his co-hosts, and I have seen him this defensive on his show.

It is mostly his timbre and tone that sometimes that gets in the way of what he has to say. If you can filter that whiney smugness away his ideas often have merit.
