Montrose Freeman. Freddy Knight. Jack Gee. Chalky White. Ray Ray. Omar Little. With us, Michael Kenneth Williams shared these characters. And with these characters, he shared himself - a gift we treasure today and always.

I met Michael in Brooklyn at my former workplace. He was instantly recognized by everyone who saw him, ("Omar is here!"), but he was so humble and gracious and he made time for anyone and everyone that approached him. His grace was as huge as his talent. RIP Brother.

HBO and the world lost an incredible talent; he's one of the greatest actors of our time. Michael Kenneth Williams was phenomenal as Omar Little, Chalky White and Freddy Knight. You have no idea what you're missing if you haven't seen The Wire, Boardwalk Empire or The Night Of... hands down some of the best TV shows ever produced! Rest In Paradise

as much as i loved Lovecraft Country, you can't replace anyone like MKW. He killed it as Montrose. Sad to lose an amazing talent like that but his work will always love on. For those needing help try you best to ask. it's a journey you never stop but it's a battle you can win!

OMG, yes he killed it as Montrose. I had tears in my eyes in the scene when he told Tick, "The only thing I ever wanted to be was your father". I'm getting teary eyed now thinking about that scene. Omar and Chalky White are some of my favorite characters also.

This made me tear up. We definitely will have a void in our art of movies and the world. Michael K Williams will be FOREVER MISSED ans revered for what he has brought to our hearts, our culture, our black people, his community, Hip-Hop, dance, and just being a beautifully flawed human being. I am going to binge watch everything he did. Just like I did Chadwick Boseman. R.I.P. King MKW...

I've watched him grow for many years through the camera lens, and I always thought that his choice in characters were those that you didn't always see in cinema. Upon learning of his struggle with addiction, I had hoped that he would not end up like some of the other actors, but he did. Phillip Seymore Hoffman's death hit me very hard, because he too chose character roles that left you speechless as well, and when he died I didn't want to accept it. When Michael died I found out while at work, and just began crying. I cried for days after, I just didn't want to accept another loss this way. I can accept what people do to cope with thier life struggles, and I always will; but it doesn't make the grief less. Michael, I will miss you.
