Don't get me wrong everyone loves Shapiro. There is something about Michael's smooth delivery that has me really impressed. Ben will get kind of snappy at people asking questions or who disagree with him but Micheal keeps an even tone throughout his speeches which I find impressive and very hard to do.

The last question is a good one, but I think the answer missed some key points. Basically, he asks why aren't we moving more toward Green Energy. What's the downside of doing that? The downsides of these energies are: 1) if you have windmills, what happens when the wind doesn't blow? Are you willing for the hospital to suddenly and periodically run out of electricity? And how many thousands of wind farms would you need in order to supply the energy needs of our country? How many natural resources are needed to both manufacture and maintain wind turbines? And how much valuable land would be given over to the production of wind energy? 2) if you have solar panels, what happens when the sun doesn't shine and when it is nighttime? What happens on a cold and gray Minnesota or Michigan winter's day? How often are you willing to go push the snow off your solar panels? You cannot efficiently store electricity, so how do you deal with these interruptions? Fossil fuels are always available. They don't depend on the wind blowing and the sun shining. They can fuel a car or semi cross country in a way electricity cannot at this point in time. You will inevitably depend on fossil fuel backups (for electricity generation) in order to supplement when the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine. In other words, you will have to KEEP that fossil fuel generating plant in working and optimal order at all times, if and when it is needed. This is not as easy and inexpensive as people would like to assume. Now can we MOVE in the direction of more 'renewable' energy? Certainly. We have already done that and we should continue. It makes great sense to have a solar panel farm in Central/Southern Arizona. May not make a lot of sense in Minnesota, however. Might make a lot of sense to have wind farms in the TX panhandle. Might not make much sense in some other parts of the country where the wind doesn't blow much. I think nuclear power should be used to handle the lion's share of our electricity needs, maybe virtually all of it. But some groups seem dead set against nuclear. Why is THIS form of energy, the most obviously useful alternative form of generating electricity never talked about? When the right alternative energy comes along, the energy companies will fall all over themselves to get in on the deal. The reasons they don't do it now is because it's not economical and it's not practical. The main reason they are getting involved to the extent they are now is largely for good PR. Wind farms aren't going to be our salvation. They can HELP, but they aren't the total answer.

I believe the new term is Climate Crisis. I went to my kid's graduation ceremony yesterday, and the valedictorian passionately, and desperately pleaded her peers to fight the climate crisis. no wonder kids are more depressed these days and the suicide rate is way up. when you're constantly beating the end of everything into their heads, it will have an adverse effect on them. Love your lectures. Everything we need to live on this planet comes from the earth. The earth cradles and nurtures us from cradle to grave. Nothing comes to us from outer space except sunlight. Nothing here escapes into outer space. If it can't be grown it must be mined. There is no third way to get anything we need.

the redoing of all households would do something .. after SIGNIFICANTLY increasing the pollution for a couple decades (bulldowzing and rebuilding takes A LOT of gas/work/money) but after about 100 years it would save enough energy to get to a break even .. assuming those buildings stand for 100 years and the world is not ending in 12 years .. then redoing the households would just speed up the "coming catastrophy"

the last question about 'green energy' is interesting. the short answer is there is 'no such thing'. I will add that I live in an area that is rich with hydro electric power. even that is under attack from leftists for disrupting the environment. in my opinion hydro electric is the cleanest most renewable power on the planet, the fuel literally falls from the sky. it has the same limitations that all green energy has, it is not very portable.

Good points - Global warming predictions in the late Seventies, (I remember the books) predicted that we would all be cooked by now. We, obviously, are not. A point of fact - NASA models and observations agree with the other scientists, but they have observed an effect which is helping us not to cook; increasing central Antartica pack ice. They also point out that this could easily turn off, and doesn't contradict rising temperatures, it seems to be caused by global increased temperature through increased precipitation. Perhaps it's not so black and white, catastrophe or nivarna, as we might be tempted to think.

Global warming would create a paradise. Warmer oceans mean more evaporation bringing increases in precipitation and cloud cover. Antarctica is so cold, ice rarely melts there, but it rarely snows, so increased precipitation would increase glaciers(no rising sea levels, maybe the opposite). Vast areas of Canada and Siberia would begin to be productive and inhabitable. Even the tropics are likely to benefit, as cloud cover may actually result in lower air temperatures there.

This is all well and good except for the electric car bit... Seeing as how the lithium in batteries is the dirty mining part and that's the bit that can be pretty easily recycled. Electric car batteries were designed with conservative life estimates and are long outlasting them. The power being generated by coal? Its being replaced by natural gas with 2x the effeciency of coal (60%+ simple cycle, 70%+ for combined cycle gas), while ICE cars are in the 20's % effecient chemical energy to motion. These surface level arguments that are pretty easily proven false are why people think conservatives are backwards, because we have to fight EVERY idea apparently. It's the same as when people say vegans are worse for the planet.

I hear all this talk about the polar ice melting in the north and half of our landmass will be underwater, which is simply not true. But let's pretend the polar ice caps in the north did melt what would happen? Almost all the ice in the North Pole is floating in the water. Archimedes' principle tells us that anything floating in water displaces its own weight in water,. Just like when you put an ice cube in a glass of water, the level will rise because the ice cube has pushed the water level up by displacement. When the ice melts the higher level will remain exactly the same.

28:00. The Vatican was the first green state. The Roman Catholic Church is behind Climate Change, as suffering has always been the way to expiate your sins, unless you pay the partial or plenary Indulgence money, which all goes back to tge Mother of Harlots, the Anti-christ in Rome.

36:00 I'll chip in to the yong lady's question, as I'm a secular who's come around to conservative and even a lot of religious though. First, make valid explanations and predictions. I got disillusioned with the Left a long time ago because something wasn't adding up, and I found conservatives and Christians who had good explanations. So prove you are in fact dealing in reality. Secondly, we seculars can be unappreciative of religious language, because we honestly don't understand what you're saying. Try instead an approach more like Jordan Peterson's 12 part Biblical series. Allow us to sort of translate what you're saying into something we resonate with ... both me and my wife LOVE the Cain and Abel story now, and we can see how immensely useful it is to navigate in life. You might find our speed of such half-conversion to be slow, but have faith. We're not entirely impossible to reason with.

I can't remember a time when the zeitgeist has been so powerful and pervasive. The peak oil chimera came close. scientific conclusion corrupted by the force of the prevailing zeitgeist is an inevitability. Paul Elich 'the population bomb', peak oil, climate change. All promised to put us back into pre-industrial sustenance mode. All were fervently backed up by the science of the times. All dominated the zeitgeist of their time. None came true or will come true. Prevailing zeitgeist corrupts science because scientists are human and no one can resist the need to conform to the power of overwhelming social mood. My conclusion; climate science and it's conclusions are corrupted bullshit.

Geology is the study of rocks. It isn't climate science. If he did have any information it's likely nothing. That's why he didn't ask it in front of everyone.

Global warming is real but over priced renewable and electric vehicle deals are also real. And in many cases renewable energy and Bev also not sure fire way to solve global warming.

We cant control the sun. The sun controls our climate. We are not even little gods as some think, u have bought into the lie. It is a full blown lie, humans have nothing to do with the climate. Pollution of our immediate atmosphere yes, and we should control and manage that as well as possible, but so should the biggest polluters like China. Interesting that China was not required to control their pollution until way way into the future in the Paris agreement. No one even questions that?

You have to listen to someone and filter out their bias. For example, I like Ben, but when he starts to talk about Israel and Anti-Semitism, I have to look at it differently because Ben is a 100% Jew and proud if it, so I have to be careful with that sometimes. I dislike Francis too, but since Knowles is Catholic, you have to filter that bias out.

That's a good way to box yourself into listening to fewer and fewer people, and for the record, Knowles has been very critical of the Pope, notably but not limited to the Catholic church sex scandals.

@@Chaosforyou728 Her brother saw an AD asking for people that would want to run for office that this "group" would finance. That is how and why she ran. They spent a lot of money for her to win. She has "hired' her boyfriend and paid him from some of this campaign money as well, and why this may not be completely illegal (it is when Republicans do it), it is unethical. She also kept most of the money that she helped raise when in the past it was common to give the money to the Democratic Party in general. Look it up.
