I love how people seem to think that the "inclusive language" in a case where we are talking about people who can carry a child is automatically exclusive to the biological female who has always had that role. A biological female is the only person who can carry a child, whether or not they themselves identify as a woman. And I find it very confounding that when these people who want to identify as other than a biological female also want to carry children. That function is exclusive to biological females and somehow it is so abhorrent that they want to identify as something other than female, but at the same time carry babies. They are willing to denigrate biological females by insisting that we conform to their language to diminish the female body and its ability to create a person after conception, by neutralizing their gender overall. It's beyond inappropriate by a mile, in my book.

You do know she’s correct though right? Take out the inclusivity shit and she’s 100% correct a pregnant woman is not a mother until they have given birth to a child. There could be complications in the birth which see the baby or woman die meaning she never got to be a mother. Factor in majority of women have abortions instead of giving birth and the fact over half of women born in 1990 still haven’t had kids (even though they’ve been pregnant multiple times) and you’d be able to tell pregnancy doesn’t equal motherhood, in fact in todays society it generally means a dead kid.

As long as you're pregnant, you are not a mother yet. The moment your child is born, you become a mother, and you also stop being pregnant.
