Michael is the most genuine man in franchises history. There is something about Michael that just makes you feel love. I hope this doesn't sound bad considering his past, but If I where Married and died, I'd want Michael to marry my wife. I'd feel safe knowing that she would be well taken care of and truely cherished. IDK...I think somehow Katie ends up with Michael in the end, God I hope so. Either way....I hope he finds love. As much as I'd love to see him as The Bachelor....I don't think he would put James through that again unless he's old enough to understand what is going on.

Well the case with Sarah was not just her Dad. She was also being harassed, bullied and name called on a regular basis by the other girls. She was in a toxic environment that was making her feel small and mentally unhealthy and when you're in a dark environment like that, you start thinking about things that matter the most to you.

I agree this is very true you go through a long process just getting on a reality show and then time for the filming. No reason he couldn’t stay home with his son and join one of the many dating websites to find love. He could be home with his son everyday and date when he could. At least he would have been home. I actually responded to someone with a similar comment to yours. I’ll be honest if my children didn’t have a father and I was raising them alone getting on tv wouldn’t even be on my radar. If I wanted a new companion I’d look in my state for it.

That is horrible but I saw more of him trying to gain sympathy and yes the spotlight by being a single dad who lost his wife. A lot of people didn’t like Hunter on the show but at least his kids were with the mother while he was there. I’m all for single parents starting over and finding love we all deserve love but there’s something not right about him. The sympathy plot worked because everyone’s loving him right now I think it was what the producers wanted. It’s staged. I think Greg is the best guy for her anyway.

I am a parent of a young child and I would not be there period so don't tell me I'm not a parent. That being said since he chose to go knowing he had a young son at home especially one that lost his mom I still believe If he really believed Katie was the one he would've stayed cause he chose to go under those circumstances. Whether the kid made the statement or didn't make the statement being away for up to 2 months from a 4-5 year old is very very tough for them period so no I don't think that statement alone is why he left when he knew what it was leaving a kid that long.

Honestly there are soldiers who don't see their kids for about a year when they're deployed. He should have hung in there. Sometimes we have to teach our children to be patient. My son hasn't seen his dad for 5 months because we moved out of state and he stayed behind to finish his job and sell the house then he will join us. My son is probably the same age and he fully understands. We have talked to him and explained.

As a parent of young kids I understand where he probably came from in making that decision. Little kids are so affected by the people they meet… Scenario 1: he takes her home to meet his family and son and then she possibly eliminates him and his son continues asking “where’s Katie?” “I miss Katie” Scenario 2: he goes to hometowns but doesn’t introduce her to his son…he’d then feel like he is missing a piece to the puzzle to propose at the end It’s a hard choice but when kids are involved we have to be selfless. He has no guarantee that she would have chosen him in the end.

Genuine question, I’m not a parent so I may not understand. But from the perspective of a child raised by a single parent, I’d want my mom to find love if she had the opportunity, and I recall being a child a throwing a fit if I didn’t get my way. Couldn’t Michael have gave a heart to heart with his son off camera? Share why he needs to be away? I just think he just missed his son and that really affected him, which is okay of course but he said earlier in the show, he wanted to pursue love and find happiness. By him walking away he’s totally giving that choice up AND he was so close. I think he should have seen it through, maybe fly his son out and spend some time?? But at the end of the day, if he didn’t see any of that as an option, it just wasn’t meant to be. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t see how you can walk away especially from a woman who’s willing to accept you and your son as you are. Oh well. Great guy regardless

This is dumb . He knew going on this show he would have time away from his son . I call bs, like he isn’t ready yet for love still mourning his wife and is running away. He was looking for a quick out or felt strongly she would pick one of the other guys and he didn’t want to waste his time

@@emilyc5625 yeah exactly, I felt like he wanted to try to move on from her and "put himself out there" like he said. I believe he did genuinely mean it when he said Katie helped him "love again," but he realized he was not able or ready to commit yet. I don't think he expected to make it that far. He was enjoying the time and doing something out of his element, trying to move on from the loss of his wife.

I kinda feel like Micheal used his son as an excuse to leave because he wasn’t that into Katie and might want to be the bachelor. Feels weird that he’s so close to the end and spent so much time away from his son AND then suddenly before hometown, he decides he can’t wait any longer. Seems a bit fishy
