@@secondcomingofbast9908 Yes, it was and-until Dennis Patrick quit and they had to paste together an ending-was one of the most interesting plots. It was great to see an evil Liz, a set (the shop) that wasn't Collinwood, and a David who actually had fear, not to mention a very dark Barnabas. The ultra boring PT story that came immediately after was truly a death knell for the show. Yes, ratings lowered mildly with the Leviathan story but ratings absolutely tanked with the melodramatic, much over-acted PT.

While this plot almost killed Dark Shadows it could have really been awesome. I regret what could have happened and did not in this amazing story line.

I agree with you. There was SO much potential to weave this into a powerful storyline, but time and financial restraints kept this story from really blossoming. I know this Leviathan plot is unpopular with some Dark Shadows fans, but I didn't mind it. I had more difficulty with the Dream Curse story and the cumbersome Adam/Eve and Jeff Clark storyline.

+Holly B The Leviathans were a race of fantasy beings who ruled the Earth before mankind came into existence. Their forms were hideous and inhuman, although many Leviathans took human shape after they lost control of the planet. They longed to return to the Earth and reclaim it as their own. This is episode 913/914. Sinister Michael enters the story.

Regardless of your views concerning this storyline outstanding new actors the child actors Phillip and Megan Todd were two of the more impressive new actors to appear in the series period!!! I will say this its so good to finally see that David Collins get his comeuppance!from the beginning of the show,trying to murder his on dad as a pre teen,the way he treated Vickie his dad mrs Stoddard Caroline (an just bout anyone else who was unfortunate enough to cross the lit bastards path of utter destruction!!!I simply can't stand him....3×worst than the "Bad Seed"...Mccormick!!!

He was definitely brilliant. Better than David Henesy, I wouldn't say that. Michael has supernatural powers. David had to stand up to vampires, witches, and abusive adults as just a normal boy. The scenes between David and Roger are amazing because David was always smarter and sneakier than his father.
