I he had picked on form, Teddy would be there LoL. He's stats are way better than Edwards atm. He had one more try, and a few more try assist's over Edwards in this round's game for their respective clubs.

Teddy has done enough for NSW over the years. Glad to see him sit this one out and hands things over to a younger player. Roosters paying him a million a year and he gets busted up and drained of energy trying to get the blues a win.

Madge has finally done what needed to be done. Picked players on form and in position. Enough said. Its up to them to cement their reputations made at club level in those positions and prove that they can bring it to the Origin Stage. The coach doesn't need the added headache during origin week coming up with a game plan to suit players playing out of position. Neither does the player have to adjust to playing out of position in a week. Teddy was a major reason why we had so many fullbacks and wannabe fullbacks lining up out of place.

As a QLD'er I've watched the NSW team picked year after year because of who you are, not how you played. Edwards should have been picked over Teddy years ago. Looks like Billy might have his worked cut out for him this year.

Understand what Madge is doing here. Centre field is stacked with good tacklers and workhorses in JT, Haas, Robson, McInnes. Tall big outside backs doing runs from our end. Tryscoring edge forwards. Forward dependent bench to add the extra firepower. Bring on origin.

NSW will make history.. For the worst series loss on record. We have a new coach, who has never coached origin before, along with 6 debutants and he sacks the incumbent captain with 21 games experience. The new captain Jake T doesn't even captain his club side and is probably lucky to even be in the squad - and should be what you majority would call 'old wood'. Hynes is under an injury cloud and QLD will target his calf all night, and if he comes off, we have 4 forwards on the bench. SMH Reece Robson is a head scratcher - understandably QLDrs are relieved Api wasn't selected, this is the most bizarre selection of all. We have home ground advantage playing at Accor in game 1, and if we lose that, it's 3-0 QLD I'm afraid, there's no coming back with such an inexperienced side in hostile territory in games 2 and 3. Add to the fact QLD have only 1 debutant and no injuries. I like your optimism fellow NSW'man, but this is going to be ugly, real ugly.
