This game is amazing, the atmosphere, the art design, the story, all of it is just wonderful. Its a great piece of Sci-fi entertainment. I love how it has the theme of controversy about human augmentation. I highly recommend this game

They have really improved upon the musical themes of Deus ex while maintaining the same feel. I'm really impressed by the music I've heard out of this game so far.

@UnwillingOrigins HR is great, initially I was quite skeptical about some of the choices in the game (Health regen, highlighting, cover system) but they actually all work quite well (Don't know about the highlighting though) personally, playing through the preview of HR gave me the feeling I had playing through the original (A feeling that was sadly absent from Invisible War) the maps are giant, lots of exploration to be had and stuff to find, great gameplay. Eidos Montreal did a great job.

Where Square Enix fucked up majorly with Mindjack (what a dumb game), they totally dismissed that with the amazing Deus Ex. I love the ambiance around the city..I feel like its a dream sometimes. and the music is AWESOME.

@Jonijonh yes but what im trying to say is that, did u actually get attached to them? The way u got attached to Gunther or Anna or Tong or Saman or the Illuminati? How much did u even get to know about them when u faught them? The only time we saw them other than the boss fight levels was in the very first level. We never even got a chance to talk to them. Imho the feeling of deus ex was gone from the game. The stroyline barely had any twists or turns either and was very short.

@SzatanistaDzezowy Er, yes Mass Effect 1 and 2 both have stories, quite high quality as well. There's also a lot of dialogue and character interactions, as well as decisions, where as shooting is just the combat role-which can sometimes be avoided through dialogues or previous actions. Why is it so few people seem to be able to be fans of Deus Ex and Mass Effect? Both are great series, but comparing them is silly. The similarities don't go beyond Sci-fi RPG shooter, really.

@Lostfaith1980 The health regen in HR actually isn't that bad. After playing the leak, on the hardest difficulty it takes around 40 seconds for you to get back upto full health, and in that time, the enemy AI have usually filled you with bullets. Don't expect anything like CoD where it takes around 3 seconds and you get a bloody screen (SO REAL) The reason alot of games are made easier now is simply so they appeal to a broader audience, which usually earns the studio more money.

Honestly I like some of Micheal McCann's work more than I like Hans Zimmer's. Especially some of his soundtracks for Splinter Cell Double Agent, though Inception's soundtrack was equally as awesome.

The game is a fantastic game in its own rights. What i said is that it wasnt too much Deus Ex style and thats why i was dissapointed. Its never too late to play the original Deus Ex, unless you only care about graphics. The original Deus Ex arguably had the best story any game have ever had.

@UnwillingOrigins Played the first Deus Ex and second Deus Ex (Invisible War isnt very famous tho ;-) ). And yeah, its a mix of Deus Ex 1 and maybe ... Somekind of Mass Effect? Anyways, its great, really great. Lots of fun and lots of interaction. And on top of that, the Soundtrack is simply amazing, put the action into the right light and creates a really fitting mood. The Game and the Soundtrack will be a masterpiece :)

More games need this. I'm tired of these generic "modern war" games that attempts to expose the player to as many mind-scrambling explosions and destruction as possible. I want games that make me think, ones that give me choices, ones that are even remotely believable.

I actually didn't mind IW either but it felt like they dumbed it down too much, not as many items, extras, abilities... HR felt like it was on the way back toward the original, If they do make another they might just get it right again.

@MrDelusive ye i know HR has been getting amazing ratings everywhere but for some reasons i didnt like HR so much, i like IW more than HR, none of them can be compared to the original though. Tell me, the boss fights u had in HR, do u even know much of them? 60% of the people wouldnt even remember their name. But im sure everybody remembers Gunther, Anna, Page from Deus Ex, and even guys like Saman from IW. Secondly HR didnt have too many side quests. I never really felt close to HR.

@Lostfaith1980 Same to be honest, half the games I play now are just dumbed down shit. HR has a good balance of being hard enough for old hardcore fans, but easy enough to appeal to those who have never played a Deus Ex game. I'm hoping the game does quite well sales wise and other developers begin to follow suit. Over the years It's become less about people making a game they love, and instead just trying to earn a quick buck. Btw, Medium/Hardest difficulty, you'll be killed in 2-3 shots :)
