I' m a German of 72 years - happened to travel to the tip of the boot of Italy to mourn and bury a best Columbian friend and wife of a Calabrese both living and working in France...leaving this part of the earth I knew for sure to be fallen in love in it.Immediately I remembered the film of Francesco Rosi I 've seen in the early 80ies..very disappointed not to find the film (in German? or with Englisch subtitels?!) Please can anybody give me als hint how to find the film? I do understand very good, tat Carlo Levi choose the place to be buried l' m in love with Calabria and I long to approach to all the south...

I wish we could access the original film of 4 hours somewhere on utube. I remember watching it in the late 70's early 80's and it was in black and white (?). It was so long ago but it made a tremendous impression on me and I would love to see it again.
