sonoftherepublic ANY Progressive you ask, including myself, will tell you that we do NOT like MSM! Unless Bernie or one of his surrogates is on. In fact the MSM had almost a total blackout on Sanders until his heart attack. Oh, and at leat 3 outlets attributed something Bernie said to Warren. As a Progressive I’m fairly disgusted with MSM because, as you point out, they are either blatantly false, don’t talk to or about him, or discuss his policies unfairly and with hyperbole and half truths. On the other hand, Conservative talk radio, Fox News, and publications like Breitbart, to name a few, are infinitely worse! If you wantto know the truth about something then you should check a MINIMUM of 4 sources, including 1-2 outside your bubble. Typical sources I use include: The Intercept, The Guardian, MSNBC, Fox News, CNN, NYT, WaPo, TYT, Breitbart, The New Yorker, CBS, ABS, and a multitude of KZbin opinion based news shows, both Conservative and Liberal/Progressive. I terms of crowd size, I assume you’re referring to the Rally Bernie held in NY? If so the correct answer is nearly 26k, and after that they turned everyone else away and most stayed at the park where the Rally was held and were still able to hear him. Estimates for that group seem to run anywhere from 500k-10,000k. If you’re referring to the crowd outside the MSNBC studio then I’m afraid I haven’t a clue.

Also, the rest of the "developed" world implement these policies and have superior basic health plans for all citizens. Sanders might pull off similar stunts - and there will not be substantial change without a fierce fight. Warren will be allowed student loan forgiveness - but only on the credit card not with higher taxes on the rich. Big biz likes that - more consumer demand and the banks are getting their money. And some reform of ACA around the fringes that does not annoy the profiteers / donors too much. "public option" is ideal - for the profiteers. Only 10 % of patients cause 90 % of costs. All costly patients will be kicked over to the public non-profit coverage, and also people with higher risks. If treatment is needed for a person that seemed to be a "good" member of the insurance pool, they can harrass the patients so they will gladly leave for the public option. in that case the remaining pool is highly profitable for the insurance companies AND they can offer packages that _seem_ to be reasonably priced (not when you factor in the cherrypicked pool - and someone has to pay for the costly patients of course). Then they can start to argue that private insurance is working well after all (for healthy young persons who seem to get a good offer). At the same time they can start to villify the public option - "too expensive" - and to defund it so that the services are really worse than for the privately insured. All countries that have a 2 class medical system have higher costs. a) there is still a more complex adminstration necessary. A very streamlined system where all patients have the same coverage saves a lot of red tape. And b) there are incentives to game the system and milk the policies of the well insured (not necessary testing, longer hospital stays, ....). c) it is easier for hostile right wing politicians to defund the public option. The users are not their voting base. The more affluent citizens retract to the equivalent of a gated community. They pay MORE for their good services - so they show little willingness to additionally help fund the healthcare of the lower income people. Divide and conquer. in a system where everyone gets the same treatments at the same places and conditions the sheer number of people and the system being so streamlined makes it cost-efficient. And the more affluent citizens will not put up with bad services. No political party right, left or center can afford to run the system into the ground by defunding it (the Tories in the UK: "Hold my beer" - but even in neofeudal Britain they have trouble to undermine the NHS and they have been trying since approx. 1947). And if the system is just not well managed the affluent and well educated citizens will be the most vocal group to demand and get improvements. The immediate political pressure to fix healthcare would fall sideways with a public option, after all the patients have at least that. BUT the Republicans (and also Corporate Democrats) will work incessantly to weaken it, defund it, or to partially privatize it to give their buddies some contracts.

@@xyzsame4081 wow - that's a LOT of text on my phone... didn't read it all, didn't need to... your opening paragraph is in no way what I heard in this segment. Quite the opposite. Moore said he "goes way back" with Warren, as he features her in a few of his films. No such reason given for supporting Bernie (although I'm sure he is present in one somewhere). His Bernie support in this clip was centred around the issues and policy that Bernie is fighting for, consistently so, for many years. He highlighted the demographics that Bernie appeals to and how 70% of the population support his policies too - they just need to be energised and activated to vote. The DNC shut down Bernie in 2016 and then lost to a clown candidate. Somehow Congress, the House and media setup in the US have all combined to allow that clown to become semi credible, before the wheels have started fully coming off. Thats how powerful and corrupt the establishment is. Drain the swamp... vote for a progressive.

@@WonderWeezul thanks for your answer. No, my first paragraph does not say it all. - Mainstream media tries to pass off Warren as the same as Bernie (and they are successful at it) - she isn't. She is clearly seen as the much lesser evil by the powers that be, and I fervently hope Sanders will win the nomination (that's the hard part, winning the GE will be easy). I guess I was just disappointed that Michael Moore did not highlight the differences between them better. She is wobbly regarding healthcare and whether she will take money of big donors later. And if you follow her closely you see the red flags: she is already !! signalling to the party elites and the big donors that she will "compromise". That said Moore landed a few good punches for Sanders. P.S.: used to be enthusiastic about Warren in 2015 - but talking a good game is not enough - the country needs major change and that requires a committed fighter.

This proves that CO2 is not the only thing driving climate change, it is one factor among many. Citation: skepticalscience.com/co2-higher-in-past-intermediate.htm Also, take a moment... just one moment... to remember that CO2 is basically plant food. What other candidate has been fighting for climate change and everyone's rights for decades? Even before some of them were politically popular! What other candidate has stood for years (not just when running for president) with workers on picket lines? Which one took people to Canada to buy meds they could not afford here? Which candidate had the guts to speak out against peaceful Native Americans that were brutalized at Standing Rock? Yes, one other Dem did, Tulsi. What other candidate stood up and declared boldly that they were against Obama's Grand Bargain that had proposed Social Security cuts that would also had affected Veterans that are on Social Security and Veterans benefits? Which candidates were speaking out for raising the min wage, for Medicare for all, BEFORE running for president and fighting against NAFTA AND THE TPP? Which candidate voted the least for Military Budget increases? What other candidates do NOT take corp donations in any form including that would not take corp donations in the general? Which candidates have been consistent for the same issues for decades where you know they won't go back on their campaign promises? Which candidates voted against the Patriot Act that took some of our freedoms away? Bernie2020 has EARNED my vote NOT bought it! For anyone wanting to know other differences in Bernie and Warren..... "Very Clear & Simple Reasons To Vote Bernie Over Warren" Secular talk channel gives a good summary although not all the differences why to vote Bernie over Warren! If you want Bernie to win SHARE it! To add to what Kyle said in reasons I won't vote for Warren.... Warren was totally silent AT THE TIME peaceful Natives were being brutalized at Standing Rock! And that was when Warren still thought she was Native American but she didn't even speak out against the horrific brutalization of what she thought was her own people! Bernie spoke out against it, visited their communities and reservations as well as participated in protests in their behalf. If Warren gets president and more pipelines are allowed to go through their lands or anyone else's lands don't act surprised. Mike Gravel: Why I support Bernie over Warren on the Hill. Talks about why he thinks Warren is more interested in "power" than the issues she was advancing! And talks about how "awesome" it is what Bernie is trying to do! What Elizabeth Warren is QUIETLY telling Democratic Insiders... With phone calls, texts, and handwritten notes, the Mass Senator is continuing an unusually determined outreach effort to show party officials she is aligned with them.... Ms. Warren left Dow Chemical off her 2012 list of clients. After Mr. Jacobson’s blog revealed her representation, she spun her work for the industrial giant as instrumental in setting up a $2.3 billion trust to pay women who said they were injured by the implants. That explanation, though, doesn’t jibe with her duty as an attorney for Dow, where she was bound to represent the company’s interests. “The notion that Warren was representing anyone other than her client is preposterous,” Mr. Jacobson said. “As an attorney, she had a duty of loyalty to Dow Chemical. If she explored possible ways in which Dow Chemical could extricate itself through settlement, her services were on behalf of and for the benefit of Dow Chemical, not the women.” www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/feb/28/elizabeth-warren-corporate-lawyer-past-looms-over-/ Elizabeth Warren's $675-an-hour corporate lawyer past looms over progressive 2020 bid www.msn.com/en-us/news/video/warren-open-to-different-paths-to-medicare-for-all/vi-BBUWihc Around 1:18 into the video "I have also sponsered other bills" jacobinmag.com/2019/09/elizabeth-warren-campaign-medicare-for-all “I support Medicare for All. Michael made a good point: the good union negotiated private for-profit healthcare can be taken away by employers with the snap of a finger (see striking GM workers). Another argument: the healthcare the unions were able to get you is of course too expensive. So if THAT is covered in a more cost-efficient way (costing GM LESS in wage related mandatory ! contributions) and when services are good for everyone (like in every other developed nation) - the unions can ask for MORE pay, or a company childcare center, etc. etc.

Because that makes him _president of the senate_ If the Senate doesn't flip in 2020 (unlikely, but possible, odds are in Dems favor of a flip), then Bernie sits at the head of the table still There's something very poetic about an independent whom the Dems merely tolerated, and the Republicans positively reviled, outranking them all on the Senate floor
