We should've been well into the Michael Norman era of quarter miling right now, especially after Wayde Van Niekerk decided to play Rugby and ruin his career in 2017. I think he gets PTSD whenever he hears the word "Final" or something and just crashes out. It's sad to see really, as on his best day Norman could probably run a 43.1 and get dangerously close to breaking the WR. Truly one of the biggest tragedies in track history. Praying Norman can pull it together and redeem himself at next World's. He's way too good to be performing this way 🙏🏿

It comes down to one thing... who is Michael Norman making himself accountable too?? Does he hold himself accountable? Who is in his corner that can jerk the slack out of him when he messes up. True Champions don't need anyone to check them because they will do that themselves but they do have people in their corner that will check if they are messing up. If he was sick or injured that is the only thing that can make sense of this performance. I cannot accept having a bad day mentally unless you are just tired of running. That can happen to a person.
