Erin's a once in a lifetime type of hater don't get me wrong but it's kinda justified this time around. There's something going on psychologically with Norman and it's sad to witness. No your are not trippin. You dissected it and nailed it 100%. He really needs to be mentally evaluated. I mean this in a good way. If you have the speed and times, what the hell is the problem ? It has to be mental. Was the crowd too big for him to handle? was the pressure too much? I don't know, only Michael knows .

If Norman gets on the relay, he sure as hell better decline. Quincy Wilson won’t quit and everyone would be better off with Norman off the team. I’m a big fan of Norman, but he’s been doing this for the last three years. I mean, I don’t know how he can’t get straight. The look on his face at midrace said it all, while Quincy hall put in the ugly face and closed like a train to get the win.

We should've been well into the Michael Norman era of quarter miling right now, especially after Wayde Van Niekerk decided to play Rugby and ruin his career in 2017. I think he gets PTSD whenever he hears the word "Final" or something and just crashes out. It's sad to see really, as on his best day Norman could probably run a 43.1 and get dangerously close to breaking the WR. Truly one of the biggest tragedies in track history. Praying Norman can pull it together and redeem himself at next World's. He's way too good to be performing this way 🙏🏿

Michael Norman's best PR Time is 43.45. That would land him 3rd place a Bronze Medal in this 400-meter final. Also remember you have to run 3 heats at home. Then show up to the Olympics and do 3 heats. To run in the final can really take its toll on you. What can anyone say, "you have to be durable". The 400-meters is getting super-fast. You will see high change overs. Super job to all running and field events. Track & Field World where all human!

I still can't figure it out. Norman runs 44.1 in the semi's. Looks easily and even lets up and smiles. Then he gets 8th place in finals, not nearly approaching the 44.1. No wonder he wasn't in the 4x400 relay final. I gotta assume he couldn't handle the pressure that he has in the past, when he was World Champion. Frankly, this was HIS olympics. I don't think he will be there in 4 more years.

They better not let Norman be on the relay after that trash 🗑️ race. Let Lil Q and Big Q do it. Best 400m race I've ever seen.

What what his splits at the Paris finals, 21.5 + 24.1 = 45..62 ? (His heat and semi: 44.10 44.26 ) Guy's legs not in shape for rounds maybe ? His 43.45, set at the 2019 Mt. SAC Relays, was a one run wonder without heats

It comes down to one thing... who is Michael Norman making himself accountable too?? Does he hold himself accountable? Who is in his corner that can jerk the slack out of him when he messes up. True Champions don't need anyone to check them because they will do that themselves but they do have people in their corner that will check if they are messing up. If he was sick or injured that is the only thing that can make sense of this performance. I cannot accept having a bad day mentally unless you are just tired of running. That can happen to a person.

You ain't tripping at all. This Michael Norman dude got me complaining to my wife on how Charmin this dude is. Like, why show up. He better not show up on the 4x400....I'd rather us lose without him than win with him. He doesn't need any validation for such a horrible performance.

How do you go from asking for Michael Normann mental and/or physical evaluation, to saying that he should retire, that his career is over ?

Instead of doing just enough to qualify in the earlier rounds he ran those like it was the final and burnt all his matches but like you said he does this all the time you would think after all these years he or his coach would have it figured out
