Some countries like Canada were always contenders and yes some others are catching on. Obviously the US is no longer dominant in the 4 × 100 relay anymore as they haven't medals in 20 years.

never count this team out of the relay - they are a well oiled machine, they train together often, they pass the baton well and that's what often makes the difference. the won't beat US in speed but if they are tecnically sound and the US is off just a little bit- canada wins. or any other team for that matter could beat US.
