I came here thanks to Icehouse, and I'm glad I did... first the song gave me some vibes of Fallen from Graceland by Sambora and then it turned in 30 second to Mars with another vocalist... so well done, I didn't knew Michael had his own projects.. what a nice surprise.. the way he sing transports you, so vivid, so heartfelt, he does know how to transmit emotions.. he even made me love more Man of Colors with him on vocals, the first time I heard him I wasn't even on the same room my family was, and I started to cry, he called me like a siren's song.. nice voice man, you're out of this world!

I just Saw Michael Paynter on the Icehouse 40 Years Live, Roche Estate video I noticed his backing vocals on the opening song 'Icehouse' but was amazed at his backing vocals on Hey Little Girl'. His live backing vocals on 'Hey Little Girl' are better than those on the studio version. Then he did the high range vocals on 'Touch The Fire' and I was blown away at his vocal range, LIVE. Many well established singers can't hit the high range vocals live like Michael can. He was too amazing for words. So, I paused the Icehouse video to look for him on Discogs, found his 2014 release of 'Weary Stars' and ordered it after seeing this video. I wish Iva Davis would have had him do the high range vocals on 'No Promises' which is one of my favorite Icehouse songs. How do I support an artist like Michael Paynter so that he can release more music, especially since I'm from the US? Check site like Bandcamp?
