I watched Extinction tonight, here in Sydney Aus, on the 27th, a Friday, on Netflix. At first I felt it was a little it yawn, like I'd seen this sort of thing before. I was super up for it, as it had Pena and Caplain two actors I've liked for ages. I kept watching, and that's what I would recommend. Keep watching Extinction. You get to see two really solid performances out of Pena and Caplain. My only lasting critique, now it's been 6 or 7 hours since I saw it, is that perhaps it's a little too serious. It does lack a bit of every day relatable levity. But I'm really glad I watched it, and that I stuck with it and watched it through to the end. Mad props to Netflix, producing or airing some of the best scifi on offer lately.

Actors always lie about their first gig. They always reference the most significant first role. I can tell he wasn't forthcoming about being in Chicago which means he never got out because he's not from there hence not being comfortable enough to venture out. Every 24 year old girl living in Chicago can tell you the best shows, restaurants, taco and hot dog places. Just like vince vaughn and common and kanye.
