He’s a solid PK guy, and can provide some grittyness in the bottom 6, but he definitely hasn’t lived up to his 9th overall draft spot. I’d expect he’d be traded at the deadline, but who knows. Maybe they like his role in the lineup, and feel like he can have a resurgence in offense under McClellan.

I had really high hopes for him since drafted, I always liked his attitude/size and what he could bring but it just with 2 games of Shine I noticed more from him than Ras/Veleno. Was thinking Ras coulda been that net front presence that could maybe put up around 40 points a season and be physical all the time but the production is usually lacking. He is only turning 26 but with his improvement being really sluggish I'd say the ceiling with him is basically reached. If he starts mauling people more and can put up 30-40 points a season I could see him staying on 4th line for that grind line. I don't really see him make too many mistakes compared to others he just is kinda lack luster more often than not

He has no physicality and is not strong on the puck despite his size. It's sad.

I think Rassy will peak in his late 20's. What that peak will be, who knows? I'm not optimistic that he will ever be what Holland expected when he drafted him 9th overall, but he can be a useful player.

They need to get Tarasenko going. If he can start producing more offense it would take some of the pressure off the top guys. The team showed a great effort staying with the game and coming back to win.

he doesnt look like the Tarasenko from STL. Everytime hes on the ice it looks like hes fighting some type of injury.

@ it almost looks like he is lost. Vladimir is an awesome goal scorer and veteran player. He needs a couple of goals to help his confidence.

So good to have an experienced NHL coach instead of the AHL or assistant "up and comers" we've had behind the bench the last 10 years. From Blashill to Lalonde, we haven't had an experienced bench boss in a long time. What a difference it makes.

One on the best things about the 2025 Red Wings is to have a coach that always sound unpleased with the team, meaning that he wants and knows he can get more from our squad. Soooo refreshing after two coaches that seemed not to care about the ship sinking.
