Real nice!! Daptone always hits it outta the ballpark. I usually prefer the funkier stuff but this really reminds me of the classic 60s and 70s rock that I grew up worshipping. Real good tune, great gtr playin..I'd like to hear what he can do when he stretches out a gtr solo..and solid vocals. Get him out on the jam rock scene as I think he'd be welcomed with open arms.

The chorus timing is quite odd. In groupings of 16ths : 3-3-3-3+4-4-3 They switch from standard 4/4 timing in the verses, which contains sixteen 16th notes, to a chorus figure timing containing 23 (rhythmically split 12/16+11/16). What is really cool is how they enter the chorus, changing the last quarter beat (=four 16ths) of the verse to a trio of 16ths. This allows for the smooth transition into the wacky timing. I’m sure this loses some steady foot-tappers.
