Being disabled and almost bedbound. Approximately 95% of the time, due to an extreme lack of energy (because of excruciating pain and unfortunately many heavy meds), I loved the handicapped joke of Chapelle! I love jokes on my own expense 😂

When I was a child I was afraid I'd get in an accident and end up disabled. Not anymore. Now I'm afraid if I'm disabled in any physical way, I'll be abused by the grossest people and might not be able to do or say anything about it. If I'm gonna be in an accident, I better die. Dead serious.

I don't think this was Dave's funniest special, just because there were a lot of parts where he was serious, but in my opinion it's one of his best from a substantive point of view, it's really sincere and you get the feeling he's just talking to the audience like it's a big group of friends. He's really tied his craft all together, it's pretty amazing to watch.

What he was doing with the handicapped joke is what many people failed to realize he was *trying* to do with the trans jokes in the first place: He's taking a group and inviting them to the cool kids table where we all understand we make fun of eachother here, because that actually makes us equals.

Michael is religious so I can understand but I’m pretty sure he understands that gays and lesbians are real and that’s all I care about. This is comedy. People need to lighten up.

comic is the big umbrella of the whole artform. storyteller, prop comic, musical act, etc...those are the different sort of genres or acts that fall into being a comic.

His submersible joke had me rolling. It wasn’t even that the joke was super funny, it was that he knew it wasn’t great and did it anyway. When it came back around at the end of the special was fantastic

Really? I find that hard to believe. Chapelle's stand up is generally terrible. It's bereft of actual jokes and forgets to be funny. I find it hard to believe that this latest outing has rectified those problems, based on the clips I've seen.

I loved this. Norm was the fucking greatest of all time. Dave had to have enjoyed the humor in that as he caught Norm smiling at him all day. So, uhh, Daaave. What'd ya think, uhh, of meeting, Jim? Swell fella, huh? Great guy. Great talent....

Got a chance to watch this last week, Dave is still one of the best out there and he's not afraid to cross that line, similar to Burr. If anyone out there hasn't seen it yet, definitely watch it, it's worth your time.

Comics NEED to be able to joke and speak freely without fear of cancelation or retaliation. I sincerely believe that comedy plays an important role in society and allows us to look at and speak about topics that are not always easy to speak about, and call out problems that need to be addressed within communities.

It’s crazy how often Michael mentions his favorite comic Norm Macdonald these days. It’s his favorite comic and yet in all the years I’ve been watching Michael Knowles daily, I’ve never heard him mention Norm Macdonald until after he died. I'm so glad Michael decided to explain these jokes, I didn't understand the punchlines until he broke them down for me. It was only after his comments that I was able to laugh. I hope he makes a video doing commentary on the whole show! 😂

The Congressman was AT the show in Tampa - it totally threw Dave off - he had no idea. But they were laughing together the rest of the show - Madison Cawthorn had a GREAT sense of humor about it.
