Very good commentary, even as a kyu player i was able to follow the flow of the game. I'm really hoping to see more videos like this

I freaking love the blooper right smack dab in the middle of your analysis. It was beautiful.

Very very enjoyable game/analysis. The bear should either stop kibbitzing, or give the presentation himself. Please, orient the go board with grain vertical. If Michael played in the traditional upper right corner, then black is at the bottom side of board, so why is the board presented to suggest that they were sitting on the left and right sides?

Will do that in the next videos. =)

How dare you refer to the great Michael Redmond as a 'human player'. He has transcended beyond.

Oh I'm sorry, we totally missed the moment when Michael Redmond became part of the cyborg realm =)

Could you tell me where did you get that go board? I would like to buy one.

This board is many years old. So many that I can't even remember where it came from. It is quite likely that you will be able to find one on major marketplaces.

Hello! Matt here! The man in the video! I'm sorry, I wish I knew where the board was made, but I don't. I actually received it as a gift from a teacher friend of mine. Her father was a teacher and an avid amateur go player. He had three boards and this was one of them. My teacher friend said this board was one her father bought for himself and that the wood was the reason, but beyond that she doesn't know anything about it. It is a lovely board though and I feel very lucky to be living in Japan and playing on it.

Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, but please say a few words about that fascinating board you're using!

Nothing special, to be honest. Vadim bought it in a small Go shop in China.

@@GoMagic Is the usual foreshortening absent, or is it sideways or something? It seems to have a curious shape. Anyways, thanks for the reply, loved the video!
@GoMagic5 ай бұрын
Oops, actually, that's not Vadim's board. It's a full-sized goban from Japan. Unfortunately, in this video, it is placed incorrectly. 😞

@@GoMagicWell I like it! It's just different enough to make you go hmm. Also I love the color change on it, reminds me of the hamon on a sword or something. Don't change a thing, it's great!
