Paul appears to have been an imposter who never knew Jesus and yet so much depends on his testimony for the creation of Christianity as a religion. The whole myth of the resurrection and ascension was created to cover up the fact that Jesus did not die on the cross. He therefore did not die as a barbaric sacrifice, but escaped to to live his life out in obscurity. His teachings were mystical and cannot be fully understood intellectually. Nevertheless he required his followers to live to a high standard of morality and he made it plain that there is no get-out-jail--free-card in his assertion:" You reap, what you have sown."

hello there sir, i just wanted to inform you that one who says Jesus didn’t die on the cross is actually denying virtually all New Testament scholarship. that is one fact that even atheistic New Testament scholars can’t deny, that Christ died on a cross. say what you want about other things, i think you’re wrong but i don’t wish to type out a book!
