I have seen other actors who have been on popular long running shows take several years to be comfortable being seen as only that character.

I mean in the past actors do their jobs with passion, like they wanna improve their range of acting instead of being known as one character only. Apparently alot of Superman movie roles was actually intended for Tom but he turned down the roles cuz he didnt want to be restricted as Clark Kent/Superman throughout his career. But now everyone wants to dip their toes in any superhero comic book roles cuz it pays shit ton of money so they dont really care if they're gonna be known as only one character in this lifetime. Take a look at RDJ, aside from Iron Man/Avengers movies the rest of the roles he's in are all box office failures

Rosenbaum is back. "Where's my line"?. Smallville really was kind of the backdoor pilot to all the other superhero shows and Alfred Gough, Miles Millar did something incredible. For Seven seasons they made Smallville amazing and I wish they had stayed on for the remaining 3 seasons because they focused on the character driven storyline and the mythology of the Superman Lore. The last 3 seasons did focus on the mythology but I feel if Gough and Millar had stayed it would have been even better. Rosenbaum really is just an awesome guy. My favorite all time Justice League Unlimited episode was "The Great Brain Robbery" because when Rosenbaum and Clancy Brown switched bodies that felt meta because seeing Rosenbaum acting like Clancy Brown's Lex Luthor while he was Wally West felt like a sequel since he was shooting Smallville simultaneously playing Lex Luthor. Then Clancy Brown acting like Rosenbaum's Wally West was just laugh out loud. Both actors really were phenomenal. Then during season 1 of The Flash when Clancy Brown guest starred as Wade Eiling which featured Grodd as he took over Eiling's mind it brought back to the same Justice League Unlimited episode when Lex Luthor had captured Grodd and wanted to read his mind and the Flash episode with Grodd evening the score with Wade Eiling says Grodd got revenge on Lex Luthor LOL.

They were gonna leave their spouses after the show ended cuz Erica said once smallville was over she was gonna spend alot of time in los Angeles and she said she will do everything and anything she can there in la and then she paused and said to get a fresh new look out of life. So it seemed that she and Tom were gonna leave their partners and start new life with each other in la where Tom lives but then Erica later on had a change of heart and went back to her husband and broke toms heart. This is why tom and Erica don't keep in touch and why he never talks about Erica. She broke his heart. She shattered him. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. So sad but true story. Shes the reason why Tom won't do smallville movie or reunion or supergirl cuz Shes in the show as well. She cost smallville fans a chance to see Tom as superman in a movie. True facts!!

Lol this was hilarious! Michael reminded me so much of Jared Padalecki from the SPN panels and how crazy he gets lol. Lol poor Tom, and he forgot the symbol of hope. I also loved how in the very beginning when they were showing Tom’s video entrance with the movies and tv shows he did, that they showed Lana and him and not him and Lois. You’d figure that since his character ended up with Lois, that they’d show a clip or two of them, but nope, it was Clark and Lana. I mean no offense to the Clark and Lois pairing in Smallville, I liked them together, but honestly Lana was the far better match for Clark. In smallville he settled for Lois in he end because he couldn’t be with Lana. It made me laugh knowing that they chose to show Lana and Clark rather than Clark and Lois. Haha

im half of 10th or final season watching smallville. i felt i dont want to watch because its almost going to finish. i dont like to end. im sure i will miss the series after. i enjoy watching from the beginning.

The tension Erica showed in that wedding scene when she rubbed Tom's arm with her thumb while she was holding onto him. She was too emotional to hide the tiny gestures that say how flustered she was. Tom covering her entire hand during that scene made me aware how much he was reading her emotions so well. It was the most romantic scene in Smallville... And it's easy to see that what was going on was beyond acting. Erica had always been tense in some scenes... and I believe she meant something more when she told Tom "We'll make it work" like saying something between the lines. They were always communicating... on a different level. And Tom did really "fly under the radar" for her. But you see, women can't handle that kind of sacrifice. They become more protective when they know that the danger is real and there's someone who really needs to be protected. Celebrities don't get a taste of true love without losing so much more. And the fact that Erica wasn't reacting to the negative vibes and hating Tom for that (she mentions Tom all the time) says a lot more about what she really feels.

Nah! She didn't really have that "special" chemistry with Tom and Michael like Kristin did...beside, I think most of Smallville's fans like Lana way more than Lois ;))

I once read that she was quite hurt by the attitude of some fans who had fixed expectation of how Lana should be and hated her in the role, so she wanted to get away from it all. Not sure whether this is the reason she is not at the panels - just a guess. Would be great to see the complete team unite again - but understand that Justin Hartley is quite busy with his recent great hit-show THIS IS US.

Aww...that's sad if that story is true but hopefully it's not so Kristin Kreuk can join Tom & Michael sometime in the near future at one or more of these wonderful panels! I loved her as Lana Lang and the chemistry between her and Tom Welling (Clark) was incredible. :))

To be fair, the "Symbol of hope" wasn't till Man of Steel came out. A totally different "Superman". On Smallville the S was just a family crest, it stood for "The House of El".
