Michael's Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Story: Look at Him Now

Their baby had congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), in which a hole in the muscle separating the lungs from the abdominal organs allows the organs to obstruct lung development. After a doctor told them their baby had less than a 1% chance of survival, Wanda and Michael went to the Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). There, doctors gave them more options.
After he was born, Michael had two surgeries at CHOP and spent more than a month in the hospital. Today, he is a high school sophomore and an active young man who plays drums in the marching band.

I had a left sided congenital diaphragmatic hernia and now every year I have to go to the cdh clinic so I know the struggle and I know how hard it is but I am also happy to be alive and better than ever on this earth

Wow I had 4 diaphramatic hurnias I just wanted to see someone else who survived this hard condition were both 1 out of a million
