Amen! I concur with Michael's sentiment wholeheartedly. It is better to think of the instrument basically as something organic, made up of wood, frets, strings, and as you move your fingers across it you can express yourself and "fly by the seat of your pants" as aviators used to say. The technical/mechanical stuff is good to know too, but it can also be a distraction. The modern era's overemphasis on technology is often a detriment. There is no app for "soul." You can press all the buttons you want, but there's no substitute for the real thing, and that's what Michael Schenker has always delivered.

ever notice most German guitarists use Explorer or Flying V guitar body styles,try one, perfectly balanced once you put it on,stays in place.

You are so right. I used to play Les Paul and Strats for 20 year, than I bought a Flying V because of Schenker and I never thought that a guitar could be so perfectly balanced and like you said, it stays in plays! Funny, I am german too 😄
