Same here. It's hard to explain what makes it so hilarious. The best I can come up with is that everything vaguely odd that Toby says or does gets magnified and distorted in Michael's brain, as the most annoying thing ever. With Toby literally dressed up the way Michael envisions him (ie. a pretentious tool), it was almost too much for Michael to process the level of disgust he felt 😂

Let's peel back the curtain a bit: Is Michael's hatred of Toby because he thinks it makes him cooler in the eyes of others when he bullies him (similar to Jim pulling pranks on Dwight, just meaner) or is it because Toby is the one person who is supposed to protect his employees from Michael's abuse, so if he constantly undermines him and turns his employees against him he'll break Toby's spirit and ensure they have no faith in or respect for him and won't ever turn to him? It’s a bit of both. Michael wants to be the “cool” guy in the office and thinks that bullying his employees is the same as being cool. That’s why he hates Toby because Toby’s job is to stop him but since Michael can’t see the difference between joking around and bullying he thinks that Toby is just the “mean” authority figure that doesn’t want to let them have fun. That’s also why he thinks bullying him makes him look cool, because in his mind Toby is everyone’s enemy.
