I know it's a cliché to say that Good Omens wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't Michael and David playing the roles, but it's really deeply true that it would never have been as special as it is if they had cast anyone else in either of these roles. Their chemistry is just so unique both on and off screen, even in interviews you can tell that there's this dynamic between them that makes Crowley and Aziraphale so extraordinary, their connection to each other and their understanding of their own as well as each other's character is just so much more profound than I'm used to seeing, and it shows in the way they answer certain interview questions, it's really just so so special to me

Oh my Gods yes you're so so right! Like Neil absolutely and unquestionably wrote a beautiful script (that did right by Terry ofc) but David and Michael breathed life into the characters and the love they have for eachother. It's palpable and precious and so wonderful. Argh! It's to the point where you kinda feel fortunate to even be able to watch it play out. And YES THE PRESS! The love for the show, source material and characters shone through. LOVE that their friendship (as well as Georgia and Anna's+the kids') blossomed

I love seeing Michael saying that theres was only one David/Michael role but in Good Omens they could work together bc Aziraphale and Crowley was only one demon that Terry separate into two different characters

I am now convinced that the characters clicked because you are both possessed by spirits of the angel and demon. You have embodied them. Oh and of course, because you both have put sooo much into the 'roles' we will definitely enjoy it.
