If you’re wondering what Mickey’s saying at the beginning and end of each talk, it is:
Jai Guru Dev, Jai Masters. Jai Guru Dev is a traditional Hindu phrase that means Glory to the Great Teacher (the most accurate translation would be glory to the shining remover of darkness), where the great teacher here is generally considered to be the Divine Soul, while we, as human beings, are considered the individuated Soul. Jai Masters means Glory to the Masters, some of whom Singer refers to at times.

The "gurus" are right, but also wrong. If you enjoy ENJOY all that is life, no matter what YOU DO, no matter what OTHERS DO, no matter what happens to you, THAT is higher than peace. PEACE is the minimum. You can't even enjoy a meal if you are in turmoil. The highest states is to absolutely ENJOY ALL YOUR EXPERIENCES, even if you try to stop someone from hurting you or another and fail and end up in the hospital. Your inner peace was not disturbed, and your joy is not diminished, because you ENJOY ALL THAT IS LIFE BECAUSE YOU RECEIVE ALL THAT IS LIFE WITH THANKFULNESS. That is my experience for 76 years.

Just experience being punched in the face and calling obscene names. Don’t whatever you do show a back bone and fight back just be at peace with it. Just allow anything to happen to you and allow it like a spineless coward. Normally love these but couldn’t jive with this one.

If the aggressor is willing to change his behavior, that's ideal & should be pursued. However, if you're STUCK with an aggressive person at work, or caring for a family member who has no intention of changing, you must simply allow & find a way to release your hurt & NOT let it affect you. When Jesus was being executed on a stake, he did this releasing & allowing by saying Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.
