I heard an interview with Joe Walsh when the Confessor album came out so long ago. He called Michael Stanley a musical genius. RIP Michael Stanley

Walsh always said he would record rosewood bitters himself...it took him until 1985 but he did....his version is beautiful too!

Just learned about Michael Stanley having passed away a few days ago. We will all miss him. I'm glad he and Joe played together, two of Cleveland's greatest rockers.

Michael Stanley was able to write emotional, sincere lyrics...Joe for some reason chose booze and whatever else instead... Glad Joe is sober nowadays. I really miss the 70s and early 80s MSB... every song...

everyone makes mistakes, it's those who ride above them and move forward. I think age takes a toll on everyone. still a fan of Joe walsh, Michael Stanley and the rest of the band

Amen Amen! Took me 45 years to finally read The Creators Word and been studying ever since, now I still listen to some James Gang and a LOT of MSB from my front porch in Bocas Del Toro, Panama. Gracias Dios!

Hey David Wade, thanks. It's interesting watching the band have to improvise for Joe's Rosewood bitters. They all seemed to enjoy it, and did a great job doing his version.

We weren't improvising on Rosewood - we came prepared and rehearsed it with Joe earlier that afternoon a couple times. ;) Joe's a great band leader too, very easy to follow for cues.

No real reason but bad luck. Nice guy great performer with good material and all the looks. Never figured it out. Saw him when I was 16 and many many shows after that. As he always said to me "Keep on rocking till further notice." Redman

@@DavidWadeDFAproductions I know Epic had them signed, maybe it was Belkin _shopping_ the next album masters to MCA. I dunno, something like that, but what I heard essentially is that Belkin tripped over their dicks and it cost them their label contract.
