MVG is a masterclass in gaining any advantage he can, just by planting tiny seeds in the brains of his opponents. Whether it's comments like the ones made in this interview, or standing (legally) with his toes in the exclusion zone and moving forward in sync with his opponent's throw, it's one of the (many) reasons he's been a top player for so long.

I'm new to darts, but it's obvious MVG has been doing it on the big stage for a long time. You need to have the additional edge on top of the skill. His presence def effects some of the lesser experienced, and also some of the more experienced players like Bunting. Unfortunately MVG needs to wait another year to win the title/

@@coldhandsEUMVG isn't a fan of Taylor and neither is his fanboys. MVG wants every other player to be a clean cut pro during games, which is ridiculous TBF and Taylor has always liked winding him up. Personally I love both players but there's no denying that MVG will never achieve what Taylor has and there could be some bitterness/jealousy there, who knows 😉

In 2022 Van Gerwen reached the final of the World Matchplay for the first time in six years, where he defeated Gerwyn Price to win his third World Matchplay title, meaning that he had won at every PDC Premier Event that was held in 2022 at least three times I'm not even posting everything he's done lol. Look, I'm not the biggest Van Gerwen nut swinger, but saying the guy is a has been is outright stupid!

Littler got MVG worried. He is very flaky these days when someone puts it up to him. Don't let him intimidate you and he is well beatable. How many premier PDC titles has MVG won in the last three years ? Six ...That is just two a year !! Anything but unbeatable.

It is phänomenal! Every tournament you can see, that van Gerven plays brillant in the first rounds against not so good opponents, but after quarterfinal he always loses. Now with Humphries and Littler and the young players, which will come, i think, van Gerven will never be world champion again. The double will break his neg in important games in the paßt and in future!

Michael said he was slightly more talented on the age of 16 then Littler. Now he is already so experienced especially for his age that is a big + for him. Littler can beat Michael im sure of that. But when money comes everything can change. See Adrian Lewis very good but doesn't handle the fame or the pressure like Michael.

There is no perfect throw, there is only a throw perfect for you, (and many players mucking about with adjusting their throw has seen their play go wonky at times as they experiment ) your height, weight balance and focus with the darts and flights you use is what makes your throw and that's why darts is interesting as every player is not uniform.
