I totally agree with what you said but wanted to add that they should understand the consequences and take what comes from it. When you say things like Colby does he takes it out of the realm of hyping up/building a fight and makes it personal. Fightmatrix uses algorithms to gauge fighters rank among all organizations. he's #18 in the world right now. He's either that high because of fighting primarily low ranked opp, or he's that low because he hasn't beaten anyone in the UFC yet. In either case, considering WB is 41 now but doesn't have power. I'd imagine MVP could fight around that long minimum.

I mean even tho the ufc is the biggest platform it doesn't reflect in its pay, especially in the early phases, most will still get payed better as top guys in smaller promotions. Plus I believe it's a ufc strategy too, they're gonna be less willing to sign top guys from competitor promotions as it would make the ufc look bad if a top guy from the other big orgs would possibly become champ in the ufc. It's bad for the monopoly they are running, and thats why they will also never co promote.
