The level of the electric guitar in this live mix (along with excellent playing) gives the song a real edge that other versions don't quite have.

The backing vocal is Kim Keyes, and if you notice, she actually takes over at 4:57. She's like the prized treasure of Amy Grant, Peter Cetera almost got into a feud with Amy because he wanted her so badly he tried to poach her (she acctually left Amy's team to work with Peter for a while, toured with him, and she's featured in his Salt Lake City concert DVD. But nowadays I believe they share her, I've seen her in recent videos for both singers. Anyways, she's one of the most amazing singers I've ever heard in my entire life. She TOTALLY deserved a solo career of her own. Look her name up, she's done some AMAZING things!

"Hosanna" and "Gloria" (his Angels We Have Heard on High remix) are Smitty's most beautiful melodies. "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, hosanna! hosanna! hosanna!".....remember that one? Lead Me On has a powerful intro, but do you remember the Gloria piano intro? Like angels dancing on a piano. This is why MWS said "this is probably my favorite song that I've written for SOMEONE ELSE." This isn't the best song he's written.

I saw them a few weeks ago (December 2023) at Carnegie Hall. They both looked good but Michael W. Smith looks totally different. He hasn’t lost any talent though. Amy needed the help of the backup singers but she handled Breath of Heaven alone.

Amy often said that some of her back up vocalists were much better singers than her, and that it was only the "grace of God" that led her to sing for thousands. She's always been very humble.

For those asking about the backup singer, that’s Kim Keyes. She is wonderfully talented and has sung backup for many great artists, but I have seen her the most on tours with Amy Grant.

Thank you for clearing this . I’ve always wondered who she was. Didn’t know her name or anything and all my Google searches were fruitless Thank you ❤

Live guitar is great but vocals aren’t as good as the album rendition. I also think this shows how trying to crossover to a lost culture and be relevant greased the skids to where we are a dying culture and lost gospel witness today. Large concerts, conferences, book deals, speaking engagements, etc and nowhere near as many salvations and cultural traditions now as we had then.
