Hi Michael Ammar: It's good to see you still being about Magic. I so very much enjoyed your Eugene Or. lecture. Daryl lectured us not long after you did & notice that is quite literally "Daryl", shaking my hand in my Emoji .

Twins has been a go to for 20+ years for me! Tbh, the entire 9 set VHS Card series and the entire 9 set DVD’s are right there on my shelves..along with the coin series… and Icebreakers 😂 I refer to them often 30 years into practice and 20 performing. IMO, he TAUGHT (and TEACHES) the art of magic better than anyone. I owe the man a huge debt of gratitude. Happy performing!

I purchased a set of silver bath tumblers from bed bath and beyond. Good size, nested the same way these do, heavy, and were about 4 bucks each.

Mr. Ammar is there a product you recommend for polishing brass cups? THANKS.

Salt and vinegar. Followed by a buffing wheel, or a soft cloth and a lot of elbow grease. Also search for copper buffing compounds. Moisten a rag in vinegar then dip in table salt rub on cup. Or put the cups in hot vinegar (not boiling) for 10 mins. then polish with a rag.

You really don't need super expensive cups to do the trick. I've seen some magicians use plastic ones, and I've seen some use coffee mugs. My set is the Uday aluminum combo set. $40. Sure, they're not heavy like the Paul Fox cups, but, they get the job done. Not to mention I personally prefer lighter cups because I've always worked with, well, light cups.

I agree. They are ridiculously overpriced. You can buy the same size copper tumbler on Amazon for $30 for a set of 6. We are magicians not assholes with money to burn. Except for when it's time to fill the gas tank.

When are they going to start making affordable copper cups again. Already have found less than the average size copper cup for a reasonable price of $40 but then if you get just slightly bigger to be average size 3 in opening it suddenly goes from $40 to $300. Basically aluminum cups are the only ones you can find. I have also found reasonably priced advertised as copper-colored cups. But then it turns out they are just painted aluminum. Anyway I have been searching for and using alternative cups. For instance I have found brass etched cups from India that sell for about $7 each, to do the trick. If these handmade antiques are so low priced, why is a machine spun factory made cup so goddamn expensive?
