What a great conversation piece ( burning shed)... If done in cold climate like Canada, I would not glue the pots to get them in the garage /shed in the winter. But otherwise, fantabulous.

Thanks for sharing. Tip: Before gluing down the final stages, I'd do a test run to see if it works and all seals are air or water tight and things are optimally placed. It's 'too late' and very troublesome to try and undo things for remedial repairs.

The water feature is a beauty but they need water added constantly. Between the evaporation in direct sunlight and the water splashing or soaking into the block, it will dry out almost everyday. One thing that would help is making the base smaller than the catch basin so that you can put some water plants in it. They help with splashing and evaporation, but it will still always need water added.

Nice Build! love the way it looks. I see a lot of comments on the proximity to your shed, but I am pretty sure that's cement board/hardiplank siding, so it's not melting. I also doubt this is something you'd be running all the time as it's more of a "check out this cool thing" than "I'm going to leave this running all of the time". The fountain I am sure will run more often and it looks great where it is. Keep up the great work!

hey, oh my gosh i love LOVE your channel. so much information for a true beginner. :) i have to ask what you would reccond for heavy duty sculpting. i am wanting to work on some intense detail sculpture for my husband for fathers day..i will be using wire mesh to form a base to begin sculpting from. but unsure on the use of concrete or mortar. thinking to lay first foundation layer of cementall then go in with fine detail of mortar? if will be outside in florida can you recommend a sealant?thank you so much if you ever see this :)
@Ra3Ra332 жыл бұрын
but it has a lot of fine and thinner detail work...so wondering if cementall would be better for that since it can be worked with at such a thin consistency.
@MichaelBuilds2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for all those kind words!!! If you’re using Rapid Set products definitely use Cement All for the details and Mortar Mix for the base stuff. But just remember that this stuff is called Rapid Set for a reason especially in warm weather. Consider using Set Control to slow it down and REALLY cold water.

The fountain will work perfectly until your loosely placed rock on the base falls into the collection pan and clogs up your pump's inlet. You need to have, at a bare minimum, a prefilter on your pump to prevent detritus from clogging it.

Just wondering, has the Fire Marshall visited you yet? I absolutely love what you do and this is incredible but you need to build a cement fire shield to go behind your fire pit/fountain creation.
